Why not lol, Kellys heroes is pretty manly even with a girls name, why not Flash for a girl? rofl Being American they seem to like stupid names (Rush, Rocket, Axel etx) could even be a nickname.

I always thought a remake of "The Last Starfighter" would be a good reboot.

I loved the idea of the movie back in the day

It's actually quite good, very different take on the story compared to the book/film.
Have to agree excellent series very funny in places

now, DRS is a great film, but it is forgotten, it hasn't stayed in the consciousness like other iconic comedies from the 80s.
So maybe it's the right time for this reboot....maybe it'll be good

The Michael Caine & Steve Martin DRS was a reboot already, it was a remake of the 1964 David Niven & Marlon Brando film Bedtime Story - https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0057878/

Not in our household it's not! My wife especially loves DRS.

How will they remake it, do you reckon? I think it will be another turgid role reversal, with the two main protagonists being woman (of course)!, the person they try to dupe will be a hapless man - but the twist will be that, whereas the 'hapless woman' in the 1987 version turns out to be smarter than them, the hapless man who will replace this woman will be just that, hapless.

I was going to post similar, but thkught like I might sound like a broken record lol. But that very much seems to be the current remake theme.

Anne Hathaway and Rebel Wilson. Chris Addison directing it.

Funny this thread should be high on the TV & films list, I’m just watching the abysmal ‘Never Say Never Again’ and was wondering, has there ever been another re-make featuring the original actor?

Christ knows what Connery was thinking when he signed up for that pile of garbage
