no. 14, did the SAS men want him to quit? After drilling it into them they shouldn't quit?
I thought they were unfair on 14. Quitting was a terminal option. To force him into it - or try to. Didn't sit well with me.

Granted he could be binned for not being fast enough or whatever, but I didn't like how it happened.
All of his team members were telling him to go before he was stripped of his band.

I was confused, at the beardy ones attitude pushing him after he took the band off him, they smash it into them not to quit, and then say quit but then they really want him to quit.
I felt for him.

Yep- and in the first episode when that guy forgot his cap they punished the rest- the message was they are a unit, a team, and responsibility is shared, but here he was forced to quit.

While I like the show i think they have basically lost track of what they are trying to show / portray. All the messages are confused.

Also - more of them finishing interrogation stage - I guess because having seen the first two series they know it will end after x amount of hours and there is only so much the interrogators can do to them. Before then the mental challenge seemed to be not knowing when it would end. How do they contend with that for series 4

Yet at other times they all get punished for one persons mistake, and understand it could happen to any of them. If the other team members were struggling that much, then maybe they should've quit.

I felt bad for him, glad he held on til he was told to go, rather than quit.

I’m sure they said at the start of that task that it’s every man for himself now, it’s not about the team any more, it’s your performance as an individual that matters now.

No, that was in the later 'scale the mountain, carrying things' exercise.

Enjoyed this again, but I think this was the weakest series so far.

Maybe the format has run its course...

I've found Ant rather annoying this series, maybe it's me...

Went to 'An Evening with Ant Middleton' last night in Leeds. Having not been to one of these things before, I didn't know what to expect. He's still bound by the Secrets Act, so it's mainly about the shows than life in the Special Forces itself - first half mainly about SAS Who Dares Wins, second half mainly about Mutiny.

I enjoyed it. Funnier than expected, although there were parts he could have been seen as coming across as a bit arrogant. If you like the show, and he's local to you then I'd recommend going.

He's set to climb Everest the week after his tour finishes for his next Channel 4 show, which will be interesting.

Pedantic I know, but everyone is bound by the Official Secrets Act. Being in the forces means you just sign a bit of paper confirming that you understand your responsibilities under the act. I get what you mean though, just because he's left it doesn't mean he can go into intimate detail about any operations.

Yep - fk undertaking ops in anywhere where the peak daily temp reaches double digit Celcius.

The RM Arctic & Mountain Warfare Cadre (do they still exist) were always my boyhood heroes. I just never wanted to get wet during training hehe

I really enjoy this. Women too this time around which will be interesting, it's always been more of a mental game.

Are any of the instructors actually ex-SAS now or are they all SBS, could do with a title refresh.

Billy is defo 22 SAS. Ant and Foxy are SBS. Not sure about Ollie. Think more people have heard of the SAS.

I love this programme too. Would love to have the balls to enter it too.

Really looking forward to this too, mainly because I'm in love with Foxy. Ollie is ex SBS as far as I know. One of the women in this series is called Laura Biceps on Instagram. Wouldn't mess. biggrin

Foxy is the boss. I recommend his book if you've not read it.

There will be two winners again this year.

It will be a man and a woman.

I think you mean "a person and a person".
Don't be so gender labelling FFS!
