As good as any film and hopefully a lot better. The story certainly was intriguing, makes me wanna read the books now

Good to see Bronn is back.

If I remember correctly, we don't hear any more of him in the books after Tyrions fall from power, so I guess they have found a way to expand his role.

He gets given a small holdfast and then weighs up the pros and cons if fighting the Mountain.
I wouldn't be surprised if the show influences the later books.

I thought he married the woman who got raped in the bread riot and ended up pregnant.

Bronn ended up pregnant... biggrin

Yeah that sounds familiar. I do vaguely recall he was given a small place, and basically thought it wasn't worth getting swatted by The Mountain that Rides.

Guys, some of us haven't read the books and are following the series, yet you seem to be discussing stuff from the books that are ahead of the series?

What happened to not posting unhidden spoilers, this is the tv series thread afterall?

I was going to say the same. I have read all of the books but think that certain people on here are posting way too many spoliers!

Guys please dont spoil things for people, its not fair.

Take note of the thread title - Please do not post unhidden spoilers

You're right. What was said about Bronn is wholly incidental to the plot, and is covered in one sentence, but you're still right.

"The passion and the extreme devotion of fans has created a phenomenon unlike anything attached to rivals such as 1960s advertising drama Mad Men, or even the hugely popular Sopranos and Lost..."

What a well written article, might as well say why does anything inspire anybody to do anything. hehe

I've been seeing on Twitter that Journo's and magazines have seen episode 1 from season 3...apparently "we won't be disappointed".
