OK, I gave 'The Boys' a go. I was apprehensive, as I now cannot stomach at all the Marvel movies (kind of like having too much of the same alcoholic drink when you were a kid,and now haven't or cannot even stand the smell of it, let alone drink it).

I loved it! The complete opposite of the samey cinema superhero movies with a fantastic script and character development.

At a time when modern 'Entertainment culture' is being homogenised and all packaged and controlled by the same few huge corporations, where every movie and pop song seem exactly the same (I can switch between Radio 2 and Radio 1 on the way to work, and both are playing the exact same turgid new release)!, this really was a breath of fairly fresh air.

Recommended, even if you have had your fill of superhero crap to last 10 lifetimes.

Sure it's been mentioned, but I just caught up with Season 4 and 5 of Bosch (as my son currently has a Prime trial).

Quality up there as usual.

I'm a fan of the books, so it's interesting to see how they tweak the novels into the series (taking into account the various changes they've made to the storyline, not least by setting it in the current day).

I really enjoyed S4, based on Angels Flight, but I've struggled to recognise most of the plot from S5 (ETA I realise now that they've actually used a more recent book, which I've not yet read, whilst the first 4 series were heavily based on the first 4 novels), even though as a TV series it was pretty good.

The author, Michael Connolly, is an exec producer, which probably helps keep them straying too far from the plots/characters.

Carnival Row. A sort of 19th century version of Bright. Orlando Bloom and Cara Delevingne, so opposite ends of the acting ability spectrum smile, but OMG the accents!

Oddly not on the front page when I looked, although it was only out today. I'm 1 episode in and it doesn't look too bad.
Did the whole season over a couple of days and quite enjoyed it. Not normally my sort of thing at all but, had enough redeeming features and good performances to hold my interest right to the end. Season 2 has been reasonably well set up - I'll certainly be watching when it arrives.

Dunkirk is now on Prime.

Good film. Not a brilli.ant film, but well worth two of my hours.
Tried it and got bored even faster than when I watched it at the cinema.
The sense of scale is just not there for me. frown
I wasn't impressed.
Late to the party, but a pretty poor film.
Loads of hype. I thought it was poor.
Agreed - a massively overhyped dreadful film.
I liked The Prestige, but I just don't think I get on with Christopher Nolan.

I watched The Spacewalker on Prime the other day. Really quite a good film. The story of Voskhod 2, the Soviet manned mission into space hoping to achieve another milestone in exploration - the first man to 'spacewalk', Alexey Leonov.

Carnival Row. I'm at 7 of 8 episodes now. Ep-1 left me a bit cool in respect of the story but it's improved significantly and now I am quite enjoying it.

Pleased to hear a second series has already been commissioned.

It obviously compares with Bright but that film didn't resolve it's back story at all where as this series kind of works.

All series of Justifed have now been added to Prime. If you haven’t seen it then I wholeheartedly recommend giving it a go.

Timothy Olyphant plays a cowboy US Marshall who breaks the rules to get things done and fate brings him back to his routes to deal with his old criminal friends.

If you like crime dramas or westerns then it’s a must see.
Justified is one of the best things to come out of America, up there with the best HBO stuff.
Thanks for the heads up.

Along with Bosch, the best thing on Prime. Absolutely brutal.

It’s one of the few shows that I have marked down to watch through again in their entirety. That and The Shield.

Funnily enough, both have Walton Goggins, so maybe he’s the main draw.

Anybody watched Undone yet?
Not usually one for the animated series but sounded good so gave it a try and thought it was pretty good, some great animation.
People like Rosa Salazar (Alita Battle Angel) and Bob Odenkirk (Better Call Saul) voicing the characters.
Basically a sci-fi/drama with a time travel element to it.8 X 20 minute episodes so binged the series in under 3 hours.

JUst finished Justified and looks like o jumped straight back into a cop show. Thought I would give the Lethal Weapon series a go as it has a really good score on Amazon.

Only two episodes in but I am really enjoying it, if you don't take it too seriously.

Watched this due to your recommendation.
Really enjoyed it, and the ending wasnt what I would have expected for a film of that era.

The Patriot is excellent, a bit different and quirky, and the two series are pretty short. Surprised more people don't rave about it.

idn’t really warm to it. It’s different, well filmed/CGIed but lacking something. No lacking a fair amount.

If you were always waiting for a Ripper Street/Lord of The Rings Crossover show, reusing racist storylines, with pointless rooftop chases, that runs at a slow pace, this might be the one for you.
I'm enjoying it, but the pacing is poor. Lots of dangling plot threads.
