The noise...
The first time I have heard a Testarossa properly cut loose. Wow!
A couple of years ago I had the privilege of hearing that noise from the passenger seat of one! The first time I have heard a Testarossa properly cut loose. Wow!
The Testarossa has been the cause of most of my daydreams and sleepless nights since I was ten years old. I haven't yet given up hope of owning one one day. In the meantime a 22 minute video of my favourite car of all time by my favourite motoring journalist of all time helps with the wait!
Harry's garage is just a fantastic watch, I have enjoyed every upload so far, long may it continue, it's rare to get such insight and just genuine enthusiasm from someone, I hope he has great success with the channel, he deserves it, long may it continue, the best content on YouTube imo.

Plus one As i've already said, I think these videos are far better than the typical ones about sliding sideways and how the car doesn't quite perform as well on a track as something else in an equally irrelevant test. This gives a lovely insight on what the cars are like to live with and drive normally, and enthusiastically on the road (ie where you'll actually use them).

I've said this before too. It's all well and good someone going sideways around a closed circuit in a cloud of smoke and then proclaiming that the car they just did it in is 0.00001% better than its main rival because of some miniscule on-the-limit factor, but in the real world fractional differences are irrelevant as A: most of us don't have the skill to drive cars to such extremes, B: don't have access to closed circuits on such a regular basis that the relative merits of a 458 and a 12C (for example) on the absolute limit is even relevant, and C: spend most of our time driving on public roads where you can't exceed a third of a car's performance without losing your license ... and even if you tried to, the road surface is generally so poor that you'd soon find yourself in a hedge.
For most of us, how a car drives when being handled enthusiastically within sensible limits, the noise it makes, how it would accommodate you on an intercontinental road trip and the intangible magic of simply being in it, is far more relevant. This is what Harry articulates so brilliantly.

Love it Harry - Keep up the good work
Will do! Just had a quick read through some of the latest posts on this thread; many thanks for your generous comments.
As you can tell from the first few vids, I'm sticking with a simple formula, to give you a better idea of what these cars are really like to live with and I'm pleased to see this style is going down so well with you guys.
Expect to see a few more vids over the coming weeks, with the next one due sometime next week, which you won't be surprised to hear is powered by a V12..

It's definitely refreshing. To accept the fact that most of is who buy old or new cars don't do so to drive them balls out sideways on tracks but to potter around Britain's better roads. Just had a quick read through some of the latest posts on this thread; many thanks for your generous comments.

There is also the perfect level of 'nerd' about them.
They fill a gap on YT really rather nicely. So I hope you don't get bored of doing it.
