All true, but you won't be vilified in polite company for voicing this opinion, which is in stark contrast to the pitchforks and torches that come out if you dare to not like Forrest Felching Gump.& 'Shine a Light'

I have never watched it but I know that I would.
I hate it because it has a stupid name and a stupid actor who I also hate quite a lot but not as much as I hate Jim Carrey and Robin Williams.

utter waste of two hours of my life
I liked that utter waste of two hours of my life
Bored of the rings - Someone raved on and on about it, borrowed the DVD and turned off in 20 mins.
Sixth Sense - Worked it out in less than 5 mins.
Simpsons Movie - Really, really wanted to like this but just did not have that spark, cannot see anymore appearing.
Pulp Fiction - Could not see what all the "quoted" stuff was about
Blade Runner - Did I miss deep meaning about this film?
+hundreds more.

The 'Saw' films.
What a thinly disguised attempt by some slightly worrying oddball to get his twisted fantasies out onto film. The plot lines are rubbish, there's no substance and no reason to consider them entertaining whatsoever.
And yet, I'm told that I 'just don't understand them'
The other one I don't like is The Matrix. Utter cack. The first one was bad enough but the second(?) was even worse - they just took all of the special effects of the first one and added 75% more. That's like putting more power in an already ropey car. It doesn't make it better.

Just for you. This picture was used in the popular discussion thread "101 uses for a Jim Carrey"

Blimey. There are some absolutely outstanding films listed in this thread. Some of you must have an altogether "different" ticking mechanism.
Well aye, that's the whole point of the thread.Trouble with Blade Runner is I never saw it when it first came out and by the time I did see it years later I'd already sat through countless ripoffs so it was never going to have the same impact it might have had.

"Lost In Translation" was another one that had me reaching for the remote less than half-way in.
I quite liked lost in translation, but then again I like minimalist movies. The "boring" bit from 2001 a space odyssey where Dave Bowman is just traveling to Clavius is my favourite bit I watched a horror film last night called SEED.
It was discusting and actually made me feel sick. No film has ever done that to me. The director and producer, who is the same man needs looking at. It was horrible, very worrying, do not let your kids watch it!!!!!
The opening scene is what looks like genuine clips of dogs being tortured slowly and murdered and then there's another scene where the serial killer kills a woman with a hammer.
I'd like to know where those clips came from and someone look into it, although I suspect that they are old.

The paradox in the first film was a really basic one but people raved because they were too stupid to grasp the concept. I originally thought it was good because the ropey pirate copy I had as a student lacked the cyper/smith restaurant scene so the betrayal by Cypher was a plot twist. I discovered how lame it was when I saw a proper copy.Whoever it was playing Persephone in the transparent white latex dress was the only reason to see films 2 and 3 though...
