I think its subjective due to the very dark and quirky comedySeems to be a marmite series, I recommend it to every man and his dog, people tend to say either meh or utterly love it.

No-one I recommended it to have enjoyed it either.

I finally got round to finishing Good Omens last night.
I thought it was a credible attempt at dramatising the book. Various things were left out / lost in translation / simplified, but overall I think it was done pretty well.
I was about to ask if anyone was watching this, obviously so!. Can I ask what David Tennant is like in it, to me he has a tendency to over act, which I find off putting, any observations? There really does seem to be some cracking stuff on Prime at the mo. Watched The Boys , and absolutely loved it,and have 3 episodes left to watch of Carnival Row. Its great as well, but some right on pc phrases used in the dialogue make it a 9 out of 10 instaead of the full 10 for me. It's a fantasy , being reminded of modern causes/phraseology does not help the escapist nature of such series.
I dive in and out of Preacher, love it when I'm in the mood, totally off the wall, all good stuff.
I see the full series of Downton Abbey is on prime, I might deviate from my normal viewing tastes and give it a go. I have 100's of hours of viewing in my watchlist , enough to keep me in my viewing habit up to Christmas and beyond.
I gave up on broadcast TV around 4 years ago, do not miss it at all, To me, Prime really is cracking vfm , long may it continue.

I was obsessed with Futurama a few years ago. The only computer game I ever played in recent years was a Futurama one.
I may have to give them another watch![smile](/inc/images/smile.gif)
Easily top 3 cartoons. Never lost it's edge and creativity, unlike the Simpsons.I may have to give them another watch

Yes, love Rick and Morty, never been a huge fan of Family Guy though. Although I must admit I've never tried watching a large amount of it, maybe it's worth giving it a go!
Family Guy has its moments (as my dad would say) but I think some of the humour is rather cruel and nasty. The transphobia over Quagmire's dad who transitioned to female was particularly unpleasant and the show really went down in my estimation because of it. Having said that, their Star Wars trilogy specials were excellent.
I've never watched Rick and Morty, although I've heard of it. Maybe I should give it a go, if it is included on one of my packages (I have Sky and Amazon Prime).

Really enjoyed it, and the ending wasnt what I would have expected for a film of that era.

I didnt think his acting was too OTT, just about right IMHO. Michael Sheen was brilliant too, definitely worth a goMrVert said:

Carnival Row. A sort of 19th century version of Bright. Orlando Bloom and Cara Delevingne, so opposite ends of the acting ability spectrum
, but OMG the accents!
Oddly not on the front page when I looked, although it was only out today. I'm 1 episode in and it doesn't look too bad.
Did the whole season over a couple of days and quite enjoyed it. Not normally my sort of thing at all but, had enough redeeming features and good performances to hold my interest right to the end. Season 2 has been reasonably well set up - I'll certainly be watching when it arrives.![smile](/inc/images/smile.gif)

But the metaphors for today's issues with immigration and racism were rather heavy handed and look like they'll become even more so in the next series.
I'll be watching the next series, though!

I had no idea If.... was on there. My dad wrote it... ![smile](/inc/images/smile.gif)
I watched it last night Luke and I thoroughly enjoyed it, your dad was an extremely talented man - I assume it's David Sherwin? ![smile](/inc/images/smile.gif)
When it was brought up in the thread, Malcolm McDowell was enough to make me interested in watching it, but your post pushed me over the line as it made it very real!
