An entertaining episode this time - this show is all over the place in terms of quality and tone.

It does seem though that the Mandalorian himself has only a bit part to play in his own show.. it seems to be more like a springboard for other characters/shows.

The way the story is going it does look like any future series will have Katee Sackhoff as The Mandalorian.

Re: The final Episode:

So the word on the street is that Din will die at the end of this seasons final episode, Disney have all but confirmed the title "The Mandalorian" isnt Din afterall, but bo Katan instead.

The force is Female afterall, we cant have a male lead in 2023 anymore!

Typical Disney got bored after two episodes and started watching old films instead, its a tired format that needs dropping

Can't believe that at all - that just sticks 2 fingers up to everyone who's watched it so far. And he's been referred to (in the earlier seasons) as the Mandalorian, I'm sure.

Or clever marketing to ratch up the tension in the final episode. After all if we know he’s going to survive then there is no peril.

Besides there seems to be a lack of anything saying Pedro Pascal is leaving the series.

Why the hell would he?

By the sounds of it it's largely a voice acting gig for him.

He probably knocks off an entire series farting in bed over a lazy mid morning.

It's bizarre that they would use a pretty high profile actor for a character that hardly ever takes his helmet off. Even the voice is put through some sort of synth.

Maybe they had more in mind for character development but then the show degraded into a springboard to introduce new characters with their own spin-off shows.

Be interesting to see what happens to the viewing figures if this happens.

Apparently they have already tanked, probably due to the disjoint between the end of the last series and the opening of this one. Plenty of viewers will have tuned into this (having no interest in Book of Boba Fett) and would have been clueless as to why the story had moved on and certain characters/events shown in flashbback meant nothing to them and lost interest very quickly.

What was said (by one of the Directors, not Disney) is that "The Mandalorian" can be any of them, as in the show doesn't need to focus on Din every week. The Mandalorian is all of them, Bo, Grogu, the rest of them. I didn't read it all as they're getting rid of Din. He's probably their most popular new character across anything they've done in the last 10 years.

Tanked?

The most popular show on the platform by some margin.

All the slump stories are the normal hyperbole.

It’s down on season one definitely, but not too far behind season two.

It is a downward trend though.

I think the Boba Fett series has caused all the issues to be honest. Major plot developments took place in another show! Sure way to alienate an audience.

They need to somehow find a plot going forward that leads to Rey meeting Grogu. Disney also needs to find a way to revitalise the merch, as it’s all still focused around the Lucas world

Yeah I dunno, I've always enjoyed Star Wars but never been a fan enough to buy any merch. Except for the Lego Naboo Starfighter Mando flys about in rofl LIterally the only merch I've ever bought and it's from the new stuff.
