Great episode, Fuzz saying something along lines of "XXXXX give it the beans" when the owner was driving it. My recollection is the owner wanted it auctioned of, to raise funds for a charity, related to the disease he had.

It was on one of the revisited episodes.

I think the chap who had the succumbed to his health problems just after it was finished and I believe it was sold to a museum?
But I might be wrong?
The auction website said he died from his cancer, and the proceeds of the sale of the car went to a cancer charity.

What happens to ex Car SOS cars? Where do they end up?
I suspect that many of them just end up back in the same garage or barn they were dragged out of, for the same reasons they went in there in the first place.
I have looked up a few of them and noticed the is a strong correlation with the amount that end up not being used again, I have always suspected the same, they end up exactly where they came from.

I have just watched the X1/9 episode.

Looked fantastic when finished.

Very, very sad though.

I watched the MGB GT episode today, I've no idea how old it is, but it's the most shocking repair work I've ever seen (by the owner, not the SOS team). I just can't imagine someone doing that and being pleased with it, or happy that it was safe and roadworthy.

For anyone who hasn't seen the episode, they had to tell the family that the car would have to be scrapped because some maniac had attempted to weld every piece of metal on the body. There were bits hacked out, odd pieces of box section seemingly welded onto random places. I've never seen anything like it.
any link to that episode cant seem to find it thanks

The latest series starts on More4 on Monday evening. These have already been shown on Nat Geo last spring, but are new to Freeview.

I wonder if Ed China will get more of a role in future episodes?

Hopefully there is more on Disney+ now as well.

Still amuses me watching the Fiat Turbo episode and seeing myself in a few shots.

Is this the 11th series first shown on National Geographic last year?

Saw an advert last night for the new series starting 7th March (I think) on Discovery.

Two cars of real interest shown, a Citroen SM and MGB GT V8. smile

The Citroen sounds like a big money pit, rust and hydraulic system

Just watched it today (C4). Features both Lee Noble and Tiff Needell (he’s getting on now - but brilliant at presenting), superb. cool

The whole build was wrong really, air suspension on a race car is just daft.

Normally I dislike air suspension but it helped the owner and I think it was done with the best of intentions.

Unfair comment - not likely to see any track days (unless sold on), is it? Despite the best intentions. After all, in the old age - you can use all the help one can get. Enough said.
