Laurel and hardy handshake wink

Wonderful film, delightful fun poking at racists and Madeline Kahn will always be a teenage crush of mine smile

I find watching it on telly is ussually annoying as it has to be so edited in these PC times, was it broadcast in all it's glory this time??

The beans/non-stop farting scene...should have had an Oscar all of its own hehe
Even more so for the edited US version, where the farting noises were overdubbed by horses whickering!

Nearly didn't put it on again but glad I did. Fantastic stuff. Mel Brooks on top form although I always felt the ending didn't quite come up to the same standard.

However, I'd put it ahead of Young Frankenstein and about on a par with High Anxiety which was so clever.

O/T, does anyone remember "Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid" with Steve Martin. Another favourite classic but doesn't get the recognition it deserves IMHO Steve Martin's best film.

So many funny jokes, but none really suitable to repeat!

My favourite bit has to be "the sherrif's WHAT?' and all the music stops dead!

Without it the film would lose it's meaning.
