I've had Senna on DVD for ages (since Christmas before last I think) and still haven't got around to watching it or even taking the cellophane off it.

I was exactly the same with that film. I have no interest in formula and even less interest in Senna but wanted to watch it due to the reviews.
It is brilliant

Agreed. I've always prefered Rallying and Touring cars over F1 and was not that bothered about seeing Senna. It came on a while back and it was superb.

It's really very good, not life changing - it's only a film, but there are much worse ways to spend an hour or two.

I don't blame you, they're after all, only 2 of the most popular and beloved film series in history, so they're probably rubbish.

Shame on me.
Don't bother, it's rubbish. I read all over the reviews when it came out "brilliant - bring a tissue".

Turns out it's really depressing. The shower scene couldn't raise even a chubby never mind anything else.

Each to their own. I've never been to an opera or a classical music concert either. That is not to say they are all rubbish!

It's about the Holocaust, for goodness sake, so it's hardly going to be a laugh a minute, is it?

I have never seen The Seven Samurai, which has a great reputation, or any of the Star Wars films after the Phantom Menace, because that was infantile crap.

I've never seen any of the Lord of the Rings films either. Tolkien just isn't my thing.

Please do bother to get a copy of the Seven Samurai, it is a very good film, comic at times and really still a good and relevant film.

I've seen the first Star Wars film when I was a kid, didn't rate it. Never seen any of the Lord of the Rings, or Avatar, or Alien.

I watched the Lord of the Rings Trilogy for the very first time around Christmas. The first one I thought was fantastic, nice story, great filming. The other hours. I sat there pretty bored other than a little bit of movement in the story.

Also, the giant eagles thing. fking seriously, they could have solved the whole story in the first hour.

The only DVD in my collection that I have bought but have never watched is Alexander starring Colin Farrel.

The only DVD bought for me but I have never watched is Donny Darko.

They couldn't. There are probably essays somewhere to explain it.

Yes, and remade by Hollywood as The Magnificent Seven of course. I'd like to watch it & other Kurosawa films like The Hidden Fortress.

Another supposed classic I've never seen is Lawrence of Arabia.

Lord of the rings. I've tried watching the first one twice and fell asleep within 30 minutes of the start. Just seemed boring. Will try again one day....

Brilliant film.

I haven't seen any Harry Potter and it'll stay that way, I attempted the first LOTR and gave up after half an hour of boredom.

A much better film was a TV Drama called Sobibor done in the 80's if I remember rightly. Schindlers list to me seemed like it was trying too hard.
