Yes, good for them for making quality stuff like this. They're doing a 3rd series and a 4th has been approved too.

Holy thread res...etc. smile

Rather than starting a new thread, I actually did a search and found this one!

I started reading the Bosch books recently, and I'm now on #6 or 7. A friend alerted me to the TV series from Amazon.

I watched the first 2 seasons online during a couple of rainy days on holiday wink and I was very surprised how well Connelly not only brought the TV series up to date (1st Bosch book there were no mobile phones, even!), but also mixed story content. He also avoided The Dollmaker storyline altogether.

Titus Welliver is very well cast for the role, too.

Anyway, as you were. wink

We recently binge watched all 3 seasons, thoroughly enjoyed it!

Apparantly season 4 started filming a few weeks ago, and will be ready to watch early 2018.

Titus Welliver plays Hieronymous Bosch.

Nice simple names there.

Timely reminder for me to start watching this on Netflix or Amazon having read most of the books.

Great series, wasn't quite as keen on the third series but thought that the other old school detective was a nice foil to Bosch. Here's hoping Season 4 is as good

Just finishing watching S3 and it is a quality production.

The books are good too, up to the fourth. As someone said, it was interesting how the Black Echo was transposed to the modern era, whilst retaining key elements of the story.

I must admit I always see Welliver in my mind's eye when reading the books now.

One of those shows I've never watched on Amazon. This thread made me give it a go - really good - nearly finished S1.

Could be a binge.......

Saw this pop up yesterday on my home screen.

Interestingly the S4 box appeared in my “watch next” row. This is the first time a new season of a series I’ve previous watched has done that. A good addition from Amazon as it saves me searching to see if there’s new seasons.

As for S4, great to have it back. It doesn’t seem to get tired, a great programme IMO.

fk nuts, just binged half the bloody season - maintains the standards if not slightly improving - in the books there was lots of 'finessing' and it seems a bit more evident here, perhaps as they've grown more confident in the shows appeal.

No spoilers, but thoroughly enjoying it so far, unfortunately I'll probably be waiting for season 5 from one o'clock tomorrow morning.... frown

I like his paintings, and enjoyed the 1st series or two, then for me it just ran out of steam.

Bosch is brilliant...I've been watching it since I first subscribed to Amazon Prime and the first 2 seasons were already available to view.
I was hooked.....and kept a lookout for new seasons to watch.
I knew well in advance that season 5 would be available from yesterday, and plan to start watching it tomorrow. smile

Consistently delivers and has not lost its original oomph unlike a lot of British cop dramas that start well but soon go downhill. Line of Duty being a prime example
