Tackling Yorkshirs drug problem by man-handling 15 year olds in car parks whole thing just looks a bit pathetic
I'd rather it be pathetic than something akin to what we see in Chicago. Loving the sarcastic cop in Bradford.
"Where did you get it from?"
"Whaddaya mean, where did I get it from?"
"I mean - where did you get it from?"

Just to clarify, that would be the 18 year old who was later found to have been dealing. Picked up around a group of kids?I really can't imagine why they might want to talk to him, can you?
Is a fully weighed down 530d quick enough for a traffic car these days?
I mean probably for 95% of the jobs it does, it is. but, with these scumbags stealing high powered motors Golf R, RS3, RS6 etc maybe something powered by petrol/or a fully charged Tesla would be better, albeit not for the tax payer!
The helicopter often turns up too late! (As I'm writing this the 'copter turns up!)

Problem is, you get a faster cop car, and the crims just drive faster / more dangerously.I mean probably for 95% of the jobs it does, it is. but, with these scumbags stealing high powered motors Golf R, RS3, RS6 etc maybe something powered by petrol/or a fully charged Tesla would be better, albeit not for the tax payer!

The issue is the lack of penalty for such crimes, where the law now seems to protect the guilty. The car criminals know they just get a slap on the wrist and they are back out again in no time. IMO, in the UK we are now pathetically soft on crime.
So is the poor sod on here who will be having his as new white VW Golf R returned to him after over an hours relentless thrashing around Golf R city.........ie; Bradford and 150mph caning on the motorway? The one copper said it will need a week to cool down LOL. The female officer had to drive it back to HQ and said its only got 1,200 miles on the clock.
The young scumbag driver was like really pleased with himself about how he thinks he "smoked" the police on several occasions. It doesnt take a genius to work that one out if you look at the weight, 2wd vs 4wd, power difference, cops being 3 up (2 x cops plus 1 x Channel 5 camera man) vs 1 up, duty of care in pursuit vs some dickbrain who doesnt give a damn on the roads etc. Apparently the Golf had 3/4 tank of fuel when it was stolen and that was slurped up in the hour long chase as it was found running on fumes.
Was also in convoy with a Seat Leon (presumably a 280/290/300) which got T-PAC'd earlier after the motorway run leaving the Golf to getaway.
Interesting that the female copper said that there was loads of "white VW Golfs " currently blatting around Bradford......I bet the cops hate them. Are these cars all driven outside of the law? Now I know why they have a bad rep..........and stolen alot. Least the Golf didnt seem to be damaged at least on the outside but that poor engine and gearbox.

I never fail to be surprised by the lack of judgement handed out when JT is summing up the sentences at the end. Who said crime doesn't pay?wjwren said:
The ending narration normally has the words " no further action was taken" and "not enough evidence".
and the infamous "fined £78.23 in costs" after having been chased for 4 hours by 23 policemen, 8 police cars, a dog unit, and two helicopters.Where the heck they gets the costs from i'll never know. I suspect the Court is still living in 1953..........
