They're the 2008 version of Hale and Pace. But less funny.

It was shocking, cringe worthy at many moments

I thought G&S was well written and both seem fairly down-to-earth, likeable people to me (based just on various interviews)

can't comment on this new series as did not catch it

Really disappointed, G&S is awesome but yeah, Ruth Jones definitely wrote that by herself!

What I want to know is, who is commissioning this sort of drivel? Who are the people who are saying "Yes, this is funny, and we want to watch it on prime time TV." We need to find out and remove them from the gene pool.

Not fact.

I know Ruth reasonably well. Her and Jamie met on the set of Fat Friends (shot up in Leeds).

They got together and wrote pilto script which Steve Coogan's company liked, pitched and got commissioned for BBC Wales.

I know wrote it together.

Don't begrudge them a second of their success - but I don't see what all teh hype was about for G&S, to be honest.

I think its because Horne & Corden are better actors than they are entertainers... the recent awards that they hosted was pretty cringe worthy.

The new film they are in looks st!

The only saving grace I can see is that there are some decent lesbians in it.

Horne & Corden,
Al Murray Multiple Personality Disorder,
Catherine Tate show,
Little Britain,
Katy Brand's big arse show,
Ruddy hell, it's Harry and Paul.

All terrible,

I think maybe the "sketch show" needs a long rest.
I thought Katy Brands' show was really really funny actually smile

The best thing about G+S is Nessa, she is hilarious and makes the show along with Bryn.

...oh, also like the fact that 'Stacey' appeared totally disrobed in Love Actually.

I would'nt even go that far. The Gervais sketch was a good observation and display of RG's mannerisms - bit it wasn't funny.

On BBC 3 now, a lot of sketches that seem to rely on schoolboy humour, sex and not very pleasant nudity
I was more than a bit disappointed to not even raise what could be considered close to a laugh, but then I switched over after a few minutes.

Yep total rubbish

Actors not comedians. Laughing at a fat bloke is hardly new.

Sorry, I didn't mean to pass that off as actual fact, I did indeed make that up, and reading it I can see why you'd be mislead smile
