There are more adverts not to like than to like.

But, The BBC F1 advert was great. (Greatest car chase)
The Cadbury's Airport Vehicle one was also good, especially the soundtrack.

Anyway, back across the 'super highway' to whinge about adverts in the other thread! wink

ETA - This one too Click!

Another vote for Honda, particularly the dominoes from car parts one, which I believe was a single take.

I also liked:
The Fosters ones about keeping your beer cold;
The gorilla playing drums to In The Air Tonight. Don't ask me why..
The credit card one with the guy running to make it to his wedding. First time I saw it it made me laugh.

Volkswagen did a run of great ads in SA, don't know if any were available here, so here are a few links:

Needs sound: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m9X8i_VczDY

The Golf Mk 2 Right stuff ad was pretty cool in 1986, even if I didn't like Golfs:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vfSnt6_6VPc
They followed that one up with a similar one except at the end the car carries on spinning out of control past the bar and all the way out of shot. The advert was to promote the use of genuine VW spare parts. Unfortunately I can't find a link.

Then there were a couple of ad wars I remember in SA. First there was the Chapman's Peak set. To those who don't know, Chapman's Peak is a very twisty mountain pass close to Cape Town. Here's the ad that started it:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D-BCWxCBMgU&fea...
BMW responded with an ad where their car's handling ability stops it from falling off the cliff in the first place. Land Rover then advertised one of their models climbing back up the cliff towards the pass, after which a Ferodo ad pointed out that with Ferodo brake pads, all the cars would have been able to stop before reaching the cliff!

Then there was the airline ads. South African Airways released an advert telling of an incident when a passenger gave birth on one of their flights and the well trained flight crew handled it well. A competitor responded by claiming that on their flights you don't have to have a baby to get some attention..

It's not in the UK, but Buffalo Wild Wings adverts are simply cracking. Funniest adverts you have ever seen.

Bring on the trumpets makes me smile, but my favourite at the moment is the Berocca one - I love the music, and I can't stop watching the bloke in the suit! 100% commitment, he is really going for it! biggrin

Its weird my eye is drawn to him for some reason and last time i checked i was not a gayer.

Although I quite like the Barclaycard waterslide ad too, which has a man in trunks on it!
