I think it's going to be as st as Lost, 24, and Heroes after a couple of months.
Am I right or am I right.
Your probabbly right but I hope not!Am I right or am I right.
Good first episode, but then again so was 'Invasion's ....and that turned out to be some of the most fantastic load of st ever broadcast.
I am just hoping that like Battlestar Galactica the story arc has already been written. That way in theory you will have a conclusion and end. The problem with Lost that no one has any idea where it was going. Thew studios took the attitude that if people were still watching then lets drag this thing out for as long as possible

Why do people always pick on Lost as an example of 'making it up as they go along'? Its really no different to any other drama and in many ways less 'made up as they go along' .....it has to be because its so effing complicated and has millions of geeks disecting every frame in minute detail! I think maybe people just expect too much of it because it is an intrinsically 'complex' show.Fact is that the writers & producers of ALL tv series have a rough idea where they would like to go and how the story arc should develop........but they don't actually write the scripts years in advance and are heavily influenced/controlled by the networks and obviously viewing figures. Heroes is probably the worst offender for this.
Flashforward: It was ok, but seemed a bit 'Lost 2.0 by numbers' and lacking in real drama. Its a good premise but for a pilot/first episode it had nothing that really stood out or grabbed me.

If only, I can see this getting stretched over 3 or 4 series easily, the days of classic one-series shows are over in the quest for bigger returns, sadly.Interesting premise but really concerned that like Lost etc I'm going to watch for 2 series and then get seriously fed up.
Somebody mentioned the book, I believe they purchased the rights to the book to get the concept/title, but the actual story has been changed significantly.

I figured it was because a helicopter or light aircraft had crashed into it. Much like the Helicopter in the background of the Amercian City. Edited by GTIR on Monday 28th September 21:29
I really enjoyed it. I couldn't help but think of the Matrix when we saw the figure in black at the ball park....

In the case of Lost, I don't think they had the whole series planned out - just rough ideas.
Allegedly the creators of Flashforward have the outline of the whole story arc written out - they know how the first season will end, and also know how the whole series will end.
Which in theory makes for a much stronger/consistent story (thinking only one other series has done that - Babylon 5?).

Said it was based on a novel. Just did a search on the Internet and presumably it follows the same plotline - so if you want to completely spoil it for yourself get googling!
I have read the book and the plot seems to have changed already,in the book you see 21 years into your future.Gassing Station | TV, Film, Video Streaming & Radio | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
