I saw it on DVD last weekend too. The plot was lost quite quickly and a lack of supporting cast character development made what could have been an interesting concept, quite mundane in the end.
6/10 for me!

I also watched The Happening last weekend too, which was complete and utter nob rot. Avoid at all costs!!!

I thought some of the concepts were really quite clever.

However the relentless action part of it didn't add anything new and just dulled something which could have been really quite special.

On the whole, it borrowed the Space/Going mad/Scary bit of Event Horizon, but didn't pull it off.

It borrowed the Space/Aliens/Fight through the spaceship part of Alien(s) but didn't pull it off.

It borrowed from 2001/2010/and others for the conceptual evolution parts but didn't pull it off.

Just watched this on DVD.

I've got to say I quite enjoyed it.

I mean, it's not the greatest film ever made but it certainly keeps the mind occupied for 90 minutes.

I'd also agree with the previous posts about it being a merging of 'The Descent' and 'Event Horizon'.

I think I'd give it 7/10 but then again, I'd give 'Event Horizon' the same score.

One to watch, it's likely to become a cult film in the same way 'Event Horizon' has.
