Anyone here like the Human League?
Telescope with a mouse in it. Very daring for early 80s TV.

Vyvyan - "Could I borrow a cup of sugar, please?"
Neighbour - "Do you know that sugar's bad for your teeth?"
Vyvyan - "Yes, that's why I had all mine kicked out before I came here!"
Rick finds Vyvyan with a field gun on the stairs."
"Vyvyan, where did you get that gun?"
"I found it!"
"Well, put it back right this instant!"
Rick - "Oh no the fron't door's exploded!"
Rick & Mike - "VYVYAN!"
Vyvyan - "Vyvyan, Vyvyan! Honestly, whenever anything explodes in this house, it's always blame Vyvyan!"
Mike - "Well, who do you suggest we blame?"
Rick - "THATCHER!"
Vyvyan - "No! Blame whoever rang the front doorbell. They obviously triggered off the bomb I set up!"

Jerzy Balowski- "...Ah Coca Cola, symbol of free West..."
Vyvyan taking the engine out of his Ford Anglia and fitting it to the vaccuum cleaner.
Awesome- it was first shown when I was in High School, I remember the morning after each episode the number one topic of discussion was last night's TYO. Happy days.... . Some of the quotes above still have me giggling to myself, even after all this time.

"I've got a leg!"
Vyvyan 'pepping up' the Hoover by fitting it with a 350ci V8. (Doh! Just been mentioned...)
"This calls for a very subtle blend of psychology and extreme violence."
"That's just typical of you, Vyvyan. The house is under 50 feet of water, and what do you do? Build a submarine...."
"Viva El Presidente!"
"Got any kebabs?"
"The urine sample and the supermousse are Vyv's..."
"Rah rah rah! We're going to smash the oiks!"
Slightly O/T, but I take it everyone's also seen Rik & Ade's finest hour "Mr Jolly Lives Next Door"?

As important a moment in TV comedy history as Python, it really was a major turning point alongside the early comic strip progs.
Watch the "sick" episode with my 11 yr old daughter and 7 yr old son both loved it.
Comic Strip, good call. Must check if they are on Amazon / youtube. Would love to see 'Eat the Rich' again especially.Watch the "sick" episode with my 11 yr old daughter and 7 yr old son both loved it.
And Mr Jolly lives next door.
"I've been out with Nicola Parsons!"
Classic.

"Can you spot what went wrong? That's right, I shouldn't have let my partner sprinkle me with petrol and then set fire to me,"
I would guess that there is no way in a month of Sundays that they would let them do that routine now. It really is Ade and he really is on fire. All for a laugh.
