I only listen to Zane Lowe, anything else is st.

e: I hope we all realise that "Radio 1 plays mainly garbage" means "you are getting old". I listen to Radio 2 a lot now. I even found myself thinking "This song is too new to play on Radio 2". Bad times.

Don't listen to radio much these days apart from talksport sometimes. However once a fortnight (ish) I do listen to Edith Bowman on Saturday morning while I'm washing my car.

Listen to Moyles, format becoming tired (needs new sidekicks to exploit and motivate) and Z Lowe. Feckin Playlist will always get in the way. Bring on the new (John Peelesque) music. smile

I like alot of the stuff they play at night. The day time stuff is just the same as any 'popular music' station.

Just listening to Annie Nightingales last show, after 40 years on radio one afaik.

ETA - think thats next week maybe?

Apart from Pete Tong, Radio 1 is complete and utter garbage, and has been for years. wink

I listen to Radio Caroline on Sky 0199 (and the internet) after re-discovering it a couple of years ago.

I listen to R1 on the way in to work (Chris Moyles) and the way home (Scott Mills).

I like them a lot, enjoy their chat and the occasional songs.

I prefer to listen to R1 than to any of my own cds for that half hour each way.

Oh well!

You must have catastrophically bad taste when it comes to music in that case.

Yes, probably.

I've certainly got some Girls Aloud in there. And Pixies. And GWAR. And Killers.

And you only get half of that on Radio 1.

Still, I like the chatting, mostly.

Or that.

I have enjoyed other scripted things in the past too.

Have you seen Die Hard?

Once or twice. Does Chris Moyles play a gobby cock-end in that too?

I don't think so.

Why do you listen to Chris Moyles on Radio 1, gobby cock-end that he is?

I listen because I like him and think he's funny. The chat bits, you know. The script.

Is it scripted chat, or a chatty script?
I heard the gobby cock-end once, very briefly, when someone from junior management left the radio in a company pool car incorrectly tuned, that's all. I sent an email explaining the error of their ways and it hasn't happened since.
