Tom Cruise in Far & Away. He's the actual size of a leprechaun but the accent needs attention!

IN the same vein, Forest Whitaker's Scottish accent in the Last King of Scotland made him sound more like a bloody Ugandan!

I'm just watching "The Weather Man" not a bad film so far, but Michael Caine's attempt at an American accent is spine tingling.

I found that clip on Youtube that shows what I'm on about.

Got any more to add?

I watched that movie 3 days ago and noticed the same thing. It's horrible.

Another vote for Farrell (and the rest of the Irish) in Alexander, watched some of this last week then turned over, shocking accents and shockingly bad film full stop!!!!

Notable mentions:

Dick van dyke - Mary Poppins
Gibbo - Braveheart
Keanu Reeves - Dracula
Anything with Arnie in
Anything with Van Damme in
Tom Cruise - Far and away

It's better than his "Irish" accent in The Untouchables!
Which, in turn, is better than his Spanish accent in Highlander

I also found the scenery to be very unrealistic in that film, I once visited the Highlands of Scotland and can tell you that in real life it looks completely different.

In one of his first films, Denzil Washington plays a British soldier returning from active duty to South London.

Now, DW is one of the finest actors (IMO) there is but his London accent in that film is truly terrible.

Cannot remember the name of the film though!

...or his Russian accent in Hunt For Red October.

For me, Don Cheadle's accent in Ocean's takes some beating. Russel Crowe's was a bit meandering, which wouldn't have been so bad if he hadn't been shown up by Cate Blanchet nailing the Derby/Nottingham twang so well.
