I asked earlier but no one responded.. Can anyone explain where MM is going at the end of the film seeing as the wormhole is no longer there?
Why do you think the wormhole has gone?Nolan: By the end of Cooper's journey, the wormhole is gone. It's up to us now to undertake the massive journey of spreading out across the face of our galaxy. Brand is still somewhere out there on the far side of the wormhole. The wormhole has disappeared entirely. It's gone.
IGN: And he has to try and get to Brand in this little ship?
Nolan: That's the idea.

I must have super hearing as the only bit of dialogue that I didn't catch was Michael Caine's last words. Thought the rest of it was clear enough although generally the sound was pretty stty as it always is at my local CineWorld.
ie Far too loud to the point that the speakers sound as if they are gonna blow.
Same here Croyde - I heard it all ok but I was in a lowly Cineworld too,not an IMAX . I'm sort of glad, hearing about the problems some had at an IMAX that I don't have one ie Far too loud to the point that the speakers sound as if they are gonna blow.
Just watched it.
Some thoughts before I read the thread.
Very good film, I predicted a lot of what happened, enjoyed Damon's Heel turn.
Very similar to 2001, and had elements of the novel, Strata.
Got extremely tired of the 'wing-cam' very quickly.
Best character? The funny robot, very funny.
Worst thing about the film? The sound...fking music drowning out half the fking dialogue which was mumbled...fking idiots.

I really enjoyed the film, but then I would because I love sci-fi films.
The thing is, I'm not completely sure I liked it because it was good, or inspite of it being bad.
There were some fantastic shots - I loved the shot of the spaceship across Saturn.
The robots were absolutely brilliant - loved the 'settings' they could be programmed with!

Awful film. 2/10 (and I love sci-fi). No depth, no wonder.
The pre-ending was jarringly unrealistic compared to the plausible plotline that went before. And reconnecting that part of the story to the schmaltzy ending was a stretch too far.
The score was loud, but its main problem was that is was just far too dramatic for the on-screen action. Having a crescendo build when all of the visual drama of a scene was already played out soon got annoying.
There were a few good parts that were underexplored (differences in the passage of time, etc).
Three hours that felt like five (aptly).

Saw it ten days ago or so.
At a Cineworld IMAX no less. Very good I thought., No sound issues - I thought the sound quality was excellent, thunderous where needed.
That explosion made the whole place jump a foot, was brilliant.
Seriously considering going again, and I rarely go to the Cinema.
FWIW I loved inception too. Haven't seen Memento, sounds like I should.

For me, three hours that seemed like 1.5 hours.
I guess this is where relativity and psychology run parallel. You were so drawn in by the plot that your 3 hours felt like 1.5. Whereas I wasn't, and so time ran slower. Life imitating art?(Anyway, the best bit was that I saw the trailer for The Imitation Game and that looks great, so will see that this weekend.)
I enjoyed it, far too many holes for me though (Blackholes/Wormholes wahey)
. So you need a lot of power to take off on Earth, but as soon as we're on a planet with 1.2x gravity, and similar atmohsphere, he can take off using a stty craft?
. It's too paradoxical, see the tesseract scene (What came first Chicken or Egg here?)
. As Brand didn't go through the black hole, and MM's on that crappy little station at the end, she will have aged more than him. He will get to her planet and she'll be dead!

Question -
with the collection of eggs or embryo's or whatever it was that was going to populate a planet, was there ever any explanation about how that would happen?
is it like a pop-up-tent where you crack a couple together and out pops a human....or, was she going to put them in her then pop kids out of her 'soon-to-be-wizards-sleeve' as quickly as she could?
