I'm amazed how hard they're going on the lasses, I'm sure they'll be complaints about some of the remarks they've made....
Ant doesn't agree with allowing women in SF. He had a ding dong in Twitter a while back about it. Think he's making a point that they have to be the same as the men, but most cantMuncher said:
If I recall rightly from his book he said that he wasn’t bothered by women being allowed in the SF because, based on what women had achieved thus far in terms of physical performance in selection exercises, they had very little chance of ever making the grade.
Yeah. The argument he had on Twitter was about not making it easier for women. They had to pass the same course as men. He has also said that he thinks there is no benefit to having women in.Enjoyed this episode. Some good characters and great scenery and tasks.
Int he earlier series I didn't like Billy much. But since following him on Insta I have really grown to like him, seems like a really decent guy behind the gruff persona on TV. When the woman was crying and moaning and he said "Are you having a baby? ..No well shut the fk up then"

There's people that drop out within hours every year, don't think it matters if it's over religious reasons or not.
I’m suprised number 13 hasn’t jacked already!I hope number 1 (the Scottish blonde girl) does well, hopefully just a matter of acclimatising to the altitude before she regains her fitness.
Boy-girl milling will be tough on the boys - if they lose, they are a wimp who got beat by a woman, if they win they are a nasty brute who hits women.

It matters. The other two that dropped out at least attempted stuff and it was down to the brutal physicality of the tasks, which is to be expected and is what this programme is about. THe religious bloke dropped out because of the toilet arrangements, it's something that he should have put more though into, he's a selfish prick.Enjoyed that, I guess even the Gammons can stop moaning about them "going easy on the girls".
Looks really hard, I've cycled a bit at altitude, but not 2500m, it's a strange and unpleasant sensation, you feel normal when resting (might be different at 2500m) but you just can't move as quick, like running through invisible treacle and tire really quickly, it catches you out at first because you can't pace yourself.

Well.... [Gammon activated] although I cant say I had a particularly clear view as the camera moved about, it did *appear* that the blokes were holding much bigger rocks over their heads than the ladies. Hopefully they were either dished out completely randomly, or the rock-size was paired to body-size regardless of gender, but it did look like they had a bit of benefit on that one [/Gammon]Not on the "carry your partner" exercise though - oof!
It was a case of strong editing - and bear in mind that the editing will have been done after the full two week exercise had been completed.
There were plenty of shots of chaps moving along with their heads hanging. I'm pretty sure the editors will have started with a heavy focus on the girls for us, later in the series, to see a couple flourish, just like only a couple of men will reach the latter stages.
