Gutted for Matthew what a time to mess up, really looking forward to him in the finals! big shame but I am sure he will land on his feet for sure!
He’s already head chef in Mayfair that’s pretty much on your feet already!

When does 1 plate of food become 3?

I think he was hard done by then he’s been better than all the others consistently.

Well that wasn't expected
Bad decision, they should take the competition as a whole not one dish
It's a round by round competition.

Couldn't put him through when Marcus called the dish weak in front of the other 3 chefs.

How would they feel going out when they know they cooked a much better dish?

All 4 are very much landed on their feet Lawence being junior Sous Chef but a top retaurant! Best line up of MS pro for long time!

I agree it was 2.5 dishes! does 1 osyter really count as a dish! The right man didnt get through as per task of the day!

Dread to think of the waiting list of this restaurant! Still catching up!

Dame De Pic's website had crashed a couple of minutes ago, so a fair while I'd say!

Great stuff, really don't think I've enjoyed a Masterchef so much.

Such brilliant talent.

I knew nothing about the Pic dynasty.
Nor I.

People die, but the restaurant lives, stronger than ever. That's all her grandad and dad could ever ask for.

Self taught and now she's the best female chef on earth.

Incredible
Not a fan of these arty farty 3 star restaurants but that place looked great. Nice lady too.

I'm now going with either Oli or Larry for the win, simply as said, Dean shows no passion - not saying he has none, just that his lack of showing such could go against him.

And, compare and contrast Oli’s utter enthusiasm for his food. Even without seeing a final plating, I want to root for him!! It might all not work, but he’s certainly earned recognition from the judges.

Mind you, Larry’s calm demeanour is also a joy to see!!

It's a really close one. Over the course of the competition Dean's dishes have had the least criticism but not sure that counts for anything now.

Some mental ingredients in each of the menus.

Have no idea how some of these would eat.

Dean's dishes seem to mostly assembly rather than cooking, along with water bath cooked fish. The French restaurant showed you can cook on meat on a flat top and it be 3 Michelin stars. But I'm not a food critic so what do I know.....

Oli is such a likable bloke, and Larry evolved so far. I'd really like to see what Matt was going to produce for the final, but going safe screwed him on that one.

Absolutely right. Oli's joyous about food.
