yeah, it's a style he got into for his 'silly' reviews of GoT, which he would then follow up with serious/straight reviews. I think he just likes silly voices, he does do a serious chat overview of the ww though. He has a seriously analytical mind, so his stuff is just so informative on stuff, unlike just about every other 'reviewer' out there which offers less insight than this thread.
subconsciously, we as viewers are feeling let down by WW, I think PJ's vids help us understand this by pointing out consciously the stuff that simply doesn't make sense, that a casual viewer picks up on subconsciously. Sloppy programme making makes for sloppy enjoyment.

I'm not personally feeling let down but would like to see that point of view more so am looking forward to the video. However, if its more on the lines of 'Bernard ran out of petrol, why didn't they look for one with more' then I most likely won't agree too much
PJ actually loves the show, so it's all done with care, he just have any truck with inconsistency, and WW has so much, far more than I thought, it seems quite poorly thought out, and like different people have written different episodes.I like the show, but I know something is missing, and vids like the above help me understand why it's not a Sopranos/Wire/GoTs1-5

I have just watched the last episode. What a completely disappointing season, I didn’t care less who lived and died.
As everyone has said, it disappeared so far up it’s own backside that they forgot to tell a story.
This. Im you and you are you but ill be me whilst you search for you so i can be you before killing me to be you because i used a magic hat.As everyone has said, it disappeared so far up it’s own backside that they forgot to tell a story.

who reckons it'll survive beyond s3?
I'm seriously considering not tuning in. The fact they wrote the end of S2 as a finale in case they weren't renewed will count against them, as it doesn't leave much incentive to keep watching.I'll probably watch the first episode and unless it's a corker, that will be it for me.
It could well do. Some series only get going after the first couple of series have refined and defined the eventual story line. The Walking Dead? Even GoT took a while to bed down. Trekkies will tell you that the Next Generation only found it's feet in series 3.
I wouldn't write it off just yet.

There is that, yes - but ST TNG season 1 especially is seen as pretty weak. Can't comment on GOT or TWD but WW S1 was seen as pretty special. If they ever top that, then their egos will deserve to be inflated as they seem to be right now.I wouldn't write it off just yet.

GoT started off par-excellence, and kept it high till S4/5, when it quickly went downhill, I'd also say TWD first series was amazing and has never been recaptured, the second series was easily the worst and hated by fans...s3 was OK, I guess that might be analogous to WW.I wouldn't write it off just yet.
I enjoyed the second season, perhaps more towards the end as it seemed disjointed for a few episodes.
As for more seasons I think that without their A listers will it still have the same attraction.
Anthony Hopkins just stole the show but was lacking in series 2. I doubt he will be in 3.
Ed Harris a close second, I think that at the end of series 2 where he was shot to bits he dies and thats where he becomes a host. The fact they said it was a long rime in the future opens a back story - perhaps a MiB sub series. Who knows..his character has more of a story left to tell but how much more of the same ?
Thandie Newton, again story told? Reboot as a new character - same for Evan Rachel Wood.

Big fan of S1 and just finished blitzing S2. Bit of a mixed bag, I still like it overall but I think they lost the plot slightly in S2. I get the impression they made it deliberately unpredictable to keep fans guessing, but at some cost to the story.
The biggest problem for me is Ford has been sympathetic with the hosts throughout because they are more noble than humans, but now none of them are. There is nothing noble about psycho-Delores they wrecked her character.
I'm disappointed they switched focus from hosts achieving consciousness to humans achieving immortality. The former is more interesting intellectually, and the hosts seem to have plateaued with a few just developing Neo-like superpowers.
The mixed timeline added richness in S1 with the elegant MIB gotcha, but now it's just a nuisance. And stop telegraphing the forge = Hell, holodeck = Heaven, Dolores = fallen angel religious metaphors it's ruining a decent sci-fi story.
I love that there is a programme exploring an area which fascinates me, but I'm kinda dreading the inevitable influential people swap and dreary post-apocalyptic S3 world. Still, we will always have S1.
On the up side, one episode I really liked was the Ghost Nation back story, that really hit the spot.
Spot on. The Ghost Nation episode was the only one that got close to S1 for me. S1 was classic tv.The biggest problem for me is Ford has been sympathetic with the hosts throughout because they are more noble than humans, but now none of them are. There is nothing noble about psycho-Delores they wrecked her character.
