Amazon Prime Video, what gems have you found? (NO SPOILERS)
Discussion
James May is my favourite of the three of them, and have enjoyed a few things he's done on his own, including Toy Stories. (I think that's what he called it.)
I'll give it a watch.
I'm liking Justified, and so is the missus. I like the music and the accents. I think she likes Timothy Oliphant, which is fine by me.

I'm going to Japan at the end of Feb. Mainly Tokyo and some day trips.
Is James May thing worth watching for travel/cultural tips, particularly the Tokyo episode?
I've watched the first two episodes, so he has only just rached Tokyo, but absolutley. He does seem to be meeting plenty of normal people. Is James May thing worth watching for travel/cultural tips, particularly the Tokyo episode?
Excellent so far.

Not wanting to hijack the thread but, as this is a car forum, if you are considering a day trip from Tokyo to Mt. Fuji (definitely worth it) then can I highly recommend taking the train to Otsuki and hiring a GT86 for the day from Toyota. This is surprisingly cheap and, IMO, a better experience than trying to do it all on public transport. Its a great car for the roads around there and opens up a lot of options. Is James May thing worth watching for travel/cultural tips, particularly the Tokyo episode?

It's well worth watching because it's bloody good entertainment, but with regard to your specific query, I would say not really, other than as a buffer, things won't be quite so unfamiliar if you've watched May/Lumley/Perkins/Martin/Don on TV this last year or two.Is James May thing worth watching for travel/cultural tips, particularly the Tokyo episode?
Best place for stuff that's highly relevant to your query would be the various blogs on YouTube, I watched loads of them prior to my six week tour around in a rental car last summer. What to do, what not to do, what to see, what not to see, how to work stuff, what the MO is for transport, tickets, ordering food and so on.
"Abroad in Japan" is pretty good, and "Paolo from Tokyo" are well worth looking up on YouTube, but there are hundreds of others.

I’ve only just realised S6 is on, fortunately it means I’ve smashed all 5 to date this eve hence am still awake at 2.30am. Fricking annoying I now have to wait for the next one, the sets and filming get better and better.
The trick is to wait until a series has finished, then watch it. It avoids having a situation of them cancelling the show on you and you don’t have to wait for the next episode. Its why I am not jumping into The Expanse yet. 21st Century Man said:

I went to Japan two years ago and am familiar with how things work, getting around etc.Best place for stuff that's highly relevant to your query would be the various blogs on YouTube, I watched loads of them prior to my six week tour around in a rental car last summer. I'm just after some ideas for new/unusual day trips, sights etc.

In that case I don't think there will be much in the programme, one episode touched on Tokyo, although not exclusively, and he just did the usual that's been done to death elsewhere.I'm just after some ideas for new/unusual day trips, sights etc.
I'd Google Tokyo and environs, alternative attractions and so on, but you know that anyway. Have fun, I can't wait to go back, probably over Christmas & New Year this time.

The bloke who replaced her in ep 3 though was a bit of a bell end.

Don't suppose anyone can help with my "what's that film I saw" in the sticky at the top?
I won't repeat the detail as it's there, suffice to say it was defo on Prime, and ETA, it isn't Keanu (or at least, I can't find a film of his that matches).
If you delete something from your watchlist, it deletes it from your account wholesale so you can't find it again.
I tend to delete things from that when watched, maybe I shouldn't!
Maybe this is a bit late, but if you go into Prime via a web browser, then, I won't repeat the detail as it's there, suffice to say it was defo on Prime, and ETA, it isn't Keanu (or at least, I can't find a film of his that matches).

menu/settings,
it takes you to the:
Account and Settings page.
Then select "watch history", then "view watch history", it lists all the things you've watched. Certainly for me, it still includes stuff I've since deleted from my watch list.
