Well I've just watched it and really enjoyed it, thought the fisher King was very good!

I did wonder what the Beethoven bit was all about at the beginning but it all made sense!(kind of!)

Arya Stark from Game of Thrones in the next episode has had plenty of coverage and the Doctor apparently knows her. Perhaps that throwaway line in the first story about Missy having a daughter? Any ideas?

His guitar skills are a bit of a let down, not so much an axe battle, more a mangle.

He could have at least rattled off Blackmore's solo from Child in Time.
Some of his much earlier playing....

Anyone who can rhyme 'your fancy dress' with 'idiosyncrasies' deserves respect.

Best line - "You're a blacksmith and you've got a baby. You've been at it hammer and tongs!"

I thought that Ashildir would turn out to be Clara's ancestor.

I quite liked it, liked his descriptions of the villagers, didn't I hear him say "you're just farmers, fishermen.........internet developers"

Anybody else reckon we have another Jack Harkness?? We also saw The Tenth Doctor, Donna Noble and Caecilius from the "Fires Of Pompeii". Given we have the usual Doctor and Companion lite episodes coming. Could we see more than one Doctor in that One Hander???

Bit wrong wasn't it, might have got away with electric rays, but they're saltwater.

Suspension of disbelief is a funny old thing hehe

Time travel and teleporting aliens with hologram bodies, fine. Electric eels away from their natural habitat, nono

Will have to see how the second episode pans out, but that was a pretty bland story.

I suspect there'll be a big price to pay for making that girl immortal. 'Ripples in time' and all that. We know that Clara will be leaving the series , and it could be the result of this.

I have to say this is turning out to be the best Dr Who series for a few years. The plots that others are describing as boring are the ones that appeal to me.

I like the way they referenced Peter Capaldi's previous appearance in Dr Who. Can we expect a Torchwood reference in future?

Thought this week's epidose was better than the previous ones in this series, which I think has been utter bks so far. There were some really good lines in it too.

(Nice to see the return of reversing the polarity of the neutron flow.)

(Unfortunately, neutrons have no polarity to reverse.)

(Perhaps he meant to say, he reversed the polari of the neutron flow. We'll just have to wait and vada what the omi does next week.)

I thought this was the dullest episode of the season, but I liked them finally tying in Capaldi's face with the Roman episode and making Maisie Williams indestructible could make for some awesome Time Travellers Wife style storylines which would be pretty awesome as the sweet & young version of herself can be brought into play against an older bitter one and vice versa. I really don't like that "I save people" line.

I think that was a tie-in to the John Simm master episodes when they were talking about how they chose their names.
