Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May immerse themselves in the world of classics as they attempt to understand the appeal of keeping an old car in the garage for balmy summer days. With Clarkson in a Fiat 124 Spider, Hammond in an MGB GT and May in a Peugeot 304 Cabriolet, the trio take a drive in the country, tinker with their engines and end up at a track day as they try to become true classic car owners..
Sounds hilarious. ![rolleyes](/inc/images/rolleyes.gif)

Those full sized pickups are all mouth and no trousers.
Interesting viewpoint.In what way?

Look at the website of them ALL. They give it the work vehicle big 'un, bouncing over rocks, being loaded with logs in a quarry by a pay loader etc. They stick a 400 horse engine in them and give it the haulage big 'un, but can't stop the f

They are utility vehicles and nothing more.

I've not had a problem with cooling or brakes either.
But correct though, they are utility vehicles and seem to fulfill that role well.
To the other poster who was worried about homologation. I'd say that if the Ranger has gone through, then the F150 would go though.
They are broadly similar vehicles except that the 150 is slightly bigger and with a V8 instead of a small diesel engine.
I still say it's just a commercial decision not to bring them in officially.

Anyone else think that Tanner Foust may be the stig?
When you know the name of the stigYou have killed the stig
The stig should be a human cartoon character used to drive cars bloody fast and be used for comedy moments. Once you know who is behind the vision it loses some of the magic.
One moment that irked me about the st petersburg race was stig getting stuck trying to get to a porchse. The stig should not care or even understand what it drives

£800k for that ridiculous replica or £80k for the F-Type? If I had unlimited funds I still couldn't bring myself to buy that stupidly priced replica thing.
At £800kI'd take a DB5 and a Ferrari Dino would need to be lucky to get then both for that but you never know.

The previous MX5 review was on Dave recently, with Hammond driving it. Has Hammond got first choice on MX5's or are the other 2 not interested? ![hehe](/inc/images/hehe.gif)
Probably the only one who would fit in it. Clarkson certainly wouldn't have!![hehe](/inc/images/hehe.gif)
MGFs are Rubbish!
Disappointed with tonight's offering. Hoping for better next time.

Disappointed that Rovers weren't mentioned? (Love how you managed to shoehorn a reference to an MGF in there even though it wasn't even referred to)

Opinions can vary and other opinions are available. I'd bet at least a quid that someone will post they actually really enjoyed tonight's offering. I watched every second but still felt disappointed as no part held my interest as has often been the case in the past.
Just once it would be nice if the long and the short of the TG trio actually supported JM when he climbs in behind the wheel of a car.

On that we can agree. The whole "Captain Slow" thing is a complete farce, as has been demonstrated many times not least by his session with Sir Jackie of Stewart. But actors have to stick to the roles they are given to play. So, "The Buffoon", "The annoying short tit", and "The boring facto slow one" must play their roles.
It's kind of sad really.
