I am no expert on Jaguars but I knew straight away that XJS was a special edition one done to celebrate them winning something.
Funny when there were two of them parked either side of theirs at that event. They must have thought Mmmmm they look familiar.
While that bodykit may not have been to Drew's taste, it was an original part which I thought was his thing anyway. The replacement front bumper looked terrible too. Nice work with the bumper bar though.Funny when there were two of them parked either side of theirs at that event. They must have thought Mmmmm they look familiar.
The Renault turned out nice I thought.
Credit where credit's due - They pretty well got it right last night.
Renault. The interior did need revamping and they did a good job. The turbo wheels
came cheaply with the package and could easily revert to original for next to nothing.
Thankfully, no silly change of colour and it sold quickly at a decent margin.
XJS. I've owned 3 of these and it hurts to say but Drew got it right.
The early PRE HE model that they purchased is quite rare and looks fantastic in it's
original form - Fat chunks of plastic moulding stuck on the car really had to go.
However, they did fail to do their homework on the GKN ' Kent ' alloy wheels.
The centres shouldn't be painted black. The correct colour is a subtle metallic titanium / grey.

Interesting. The centres shouldn't be painted black. The correct colour is a subtle metallic titanium / grey.
Exactly the same mistake that people made for years and years with the centres of the 'spokes' on the 5.5" RS alloy wheels fitted to 72-75 Mex, RS16 & RS2.

So the Jag' was not a TWR sport model it was just a look a like?
They put it back to what it should have been. If so it was never mentioned. Good luck by default?
Yep, an early original Pre HE is more sought after than the much later TWR sport. They put it back to what it should have been. If so it was never mentioned. Good luck by default?
Jaguar designed the interior in a no nonsense style picking up design cues from early e- types
with much aluminium and leather. They avoided the gentlemen's club ' wood everywhere ' look
and kept to a purposeful design which suited the car well.
The North American dealers then complained that nobody wanted a Jag without a wood interior
so Jaguar were forced to change tack and later models were full of wood.
It was a good idea to bring that XJS back to stock - a very nice car.

Surely it would be more accurate to say it has 'wide' steel wheels from Weller, not 'banded' like they say in the advert.Crappy, small pictures in the advert as well.

They didn't even clean the engine bay on the XJS!The first thing that pricked my interest in the Jag was the 6.0 litre badge on the boot indicating it may have more than just a body kit, and they were perhaps going to destroy a bit of TWR history by reverting it to a standard look. They didn't pick up on it at all, which doesn't really surprise.

Yep, remember them saying it was a 5.3 when the camera was focasing on the 6.0 badge - most odd.Watching a rerun this morning of last week's episode with the 850R. Still for sale on ebay - £10k, what ?!?!

Another crap advert with small pictures and no info.https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1996-Volvo-850R-Estate/...
It basically says we got a Japanese imported car which we've done some cosmetics on, with no info on the running gear and they want top book from an advert like that.
