It was a good weekend of films for me smile As well as Che which I mentioned earlier, I watched The Good The Bad The Weird last night and it was excellent!! Described as a Oriental Western/Spaghetti Eastern, I'd rate along side the likes of Ong Bak/Shaolin Soccer (in terms of crossover appeal); there was honestly nothing I didn't like about this film! biggrin

Watched "Doubt" on Sky last night, excellent storyline and brilliant acting
from Merryl Streep and Phillip Seymour Hoffmann.
THis ranks as the film I least expected to like and ended up thinking was excellent. I was blown away by how good the pair of them were and how they took a quite masic storyline and made it into a perfect film.

Saw Book of Eli and that new Mel Gibson film.

Don't go and see the Mel Gibson film if you're expecting it to be 2 hours of killing and blowing things up.
It's a lot more story heavy than the trailer makes out.
Good film though.

Book of Eli. Great amounts of action, god undertones.

Watched "Dead Snow" on Saturday evening, excellent comedy value Zombie move along the lines of Braindead with a bit of Shaun of the Dead thrown in. Ok, it is subtitled as it is foreign but that is soon forgot. Bonus was it cost £6 from Sainsburys in their bargin bin DVDs.

Watched the Bourne Identity this weekend on Blu Ray as I just bought the box set. Never seen any of them.

It was a very good film, thoroughly enjoyed it.

Really didn't see what all the fuss was about. I had just rewatched the whole of Generation Kill though so I was probably just completely warred out.

In Dolby Digital (with the sub-woofer kicking in) the percussion from some of the explosions damn near blew the windows out of my front room.

Seriously fantastic sound track.

Don't think it's a particularly good film, but The Quick and The Dead is on Ch4 now.

I finally got round to watching Inglorious Basterds. Another quality film from Tarantino.

yes a marvelous film, the lead character was amazing
Good. Picked this up on BluRay today and am looking forward to sitting down and watching it.
Got around to watching it last night. Very good film. Very different, gritty, not quite what I was expecting. Really enjoyed it.

I must have watched GF 1 & 2 half a dozen times in my lifetime, just bought the GF bluray set and figure they'll be to watch once every 5 years for the rest of my life. They are just so good to watch - its almost narcotic like....
