There was another show that I stuck with thru 24 episodes, a lot of them going nowhere but I got sucked in and stayed with it.
It was axed back in the States so we were left with an ending that promised more but that was it.
Can't remember what it was called now but it was set in some steamy Southern part of the States with something seen in the water and some of the humans had been taken over although some did not know it.
Much prefer Strike Back on Sky One. Put your brain on hold and enjoy the ride. A couple of running themes over only 6 episodes and the main story is done in 2 episodes shown back to back. Well done UK.

I remember that. Went on forever with no reasonable outcome. It was axed back in the States so we were left with an ending that promised more but that was it.

ahh thats right. Wasn't Sideshow Luke Perry in it as well? He was perfect for that role with his freakishly alien elongated forehead..
No. He was in a mini-series (made some years earlier) also called 'Invasion' and about an, err, alien invasion. One mentioned above:

Watched last nights episode, if anyone else saw it, that headbutt in the office. WORST headbutt ever.
The standard of acting hasn't improved at all during the series has it?Well, alright, apart from the things that don't look like they're going to happen after all.......
While I'm still happy it's not going to be dragged out over several years, Lost stylee, I can't help feeling that there might be a lot of things left unanswered in next week's finale...
