Not sure what you want me to apologise for but this is where I think you caused problems for yourself in my eyes:

I hope you weren't one of the "hotline" people who told the SPM that "they were the only one" with problems.

I didnt want to get nasty ...its not my nature.

This Horizon thing went on for years undetected....we had no idea how big the problem was.For every negative call about the system we had 100 calls from Post Masters who thought it was good....nobody mentions that.It only become not fit for purpose when it was remotely controlled ...which we knew nothing off.

I have given you a number of chances to apologise for your attack on me but you refuse to do so.This is the measure of you as a person and as such I have no interest in anything more you have to say.

Your Ignorance is there for all to see and I believe only the OP or admin can delete it.Im happy with that!!!
So if negative calls were 1 in 100 why did you post on here that you knew the system was faulty?

What were they phoning you for anyway?

To wish him a happy day? Seems unlikely. I suspect he's a dreamer and, as such, even if he presented any evidence to the enquiry it wouldn't have any credibility or value. Kirk off Corrie might give more value.

Who ever phones a helpline to compliment them on their computer system?

They were callng for more mundane queries ....how to add sales of stamps Postage of Parcels Passport Checking to the Horizon system. But the crux day was Wednesday ....balancing day....this where Jo is hovering over pushing the button.

The system was saying she should have £18,500 cash in the till and she may only have £17,750...and she would need help from the helpline to reconcile it.Sometimes we could help....if we couldnt we would refer it to a tier 2 to answer it ...taking their time to do it.

In reality the system was only 20% of the blame in the debacle.80% of the blame lies with the way the Managaement treaded the Postmasters like criminals when things broke down. That was the legal team...not our level. We didnt even know it was going on tbh.The whole thing was dealt with so badly!!

Can you give us some more information about the help scripts you had. The ones which are no longer available iirc. Were you told to inform spms that they were the only ones having issues, as has been widely reported?

I think that is pretty crucial information - and would be very useful to the enquiry.

If helpline operatives were instructed by management to tell those calling the helpline that they were the only ones with problems, then evidence from someone like VanDriver99 would be very helpful.

If they had a hard copy of the actual scripts that they used which supported this that would be like gold dust.

I think Van Driver needs to stand up and be counted on this. He'd be a bit of a hero if he did.

My honesty surprises you.How was I going to change things from a Sleepy Backwater in Manvers...there were thousands of us at the Launch of Horizon.
What about the Billions wasted on Consignia and how we werent allowed to critisize the Name Change that didnt happen.

I think you need a reality check....people need to earn a salary??
You needed a salary, so you throw innocent people under the bus. I have been a whistleblower, when bosses were cheating clients, so I reported them. Yes, I resigned because of what they did, but at least I can live with myself, knowing that I did the right thing.

Indeed they do - and are often very willing to sacrifice their own integrity in order to obtain one.

You haven't answered the question about what you told those who phoned the hotline.

Were you instructed to tell people who had problems that "they were the only ones"? Was that comment on your "script"?

What level of training did you receive?

Were you experts on how Horizon worked?

Were you informed of the problems and bugs that existed within the system?

Rather than trying to justify your actions on a backwater car enthusiasts' forum, perhaps you should actually be putting yourself forward to provide evidence at this enquiry.
Can you not smell the cattle? This is like the million people who were at Wembley in 1966 or the half million who were up the Twin Towers on 9/10.
Please delete your comment....you are suggesting I didnt work for the Horizon Helpline.I was selected to do so before the scandal erupted ...I did so for a number of years. In fact you are branding me a liar.I have just moved and as a coincedence have the evidence that I have been employed there. Please apologise as well !!
If you have done what you said, then you don't deserve an apology from anyone on here.

I also did similar on a very high profile event and my conscience is clear.

Without doubt, 'Van Driver 66' should contact the Inquiry without further delay.
But again without doubt, it was wrong of 'Unreal' and 'Eric Mc' to be so aggressive and downright rude in dissing his account, they had no right to do that.

It seems a bit farcical applying a purity test to a random person who worked in a call centre years ago, likely attempting to blow the whistle would have ended as well as it did for Michael Rudkin.

That doesn't strike me as one of the unengaged lawyers who are only out to milk the system, as we occasionally hear on this thread ( as recently as this morning iirc)

I'm surely not the only person to notice the following:-

He was accused of theft of 94k. PO said the figure was 282k
282 is 3x 94, so was this simply an 'error' of 94k which Fuj tried to correct twice? we know how the figures increased when Fuj tried to input a negative amount ref Jo hamilton case. So maybe trying to correct it twice Fuj then 'gave up' and the figure, rather than reverting to zero became 282 ?
