Yes, a promising start but the sound quality seemed pretty dire.

I know this was an issue with series 2 and there were reports of viewers resorting to turning the subtitles on. Or maybe it’s just a problem with me being an ageing Southerner …..

Thought it was okay, a bit far fetched that the PE Teacher with a couple of kids and drug addicted housewife was driving about in the RS though!

Yes, very good episode,
I suspect though that the Royal Pharmaceutical Society will not be impressed!
Mainly because that part of the drama was pretty implausible and pharmacists gave up wearing white coats thirty years ago

Surely that’s going to be part of the story? They mentioned he was wearing designer clothes and his wife was dressed in Primark.

Very promising start to the third series, we binged watched the first two a couple of weeks ago to refresh ourselves on the storylines.

Surely when the guy in the chemists was selling all these prescription drugs he has to account to the authorities where they have gone to he, can't just say it's "shrinkage" otherwise everyone would be at it to make a fast buck, unless he has obtained them from a dodgy "friend in the trade"?

Love spotting the locations as I know the area very well.

Shame it's going to be the last series.

There’s no routine checking as such, but his buying pattern from wholesalers would attract attention and he’d then get his prescriptions audited.

I thought that was more indicative of him being selfish and controlling. Would be a bit odd for him to call the Police to his wife if he himself was up to something, he also stated that he was worried about his career if his wife was up to something illegal.

We got rid of our white coats in the 90s, I think Boots MCA still wear them but none of the independents do.

The local Boots wear them as does the local independent and the pharmacy at the health centre.

Unless he is so arrogant he thinks he cannot get caught

Said exactly the same to the wife, a teacher with a brand new Audi RS3, no chance, however it's all about building the character; arrogant and full of himself, the same with the pharmacist wearing the white coat, I can't remember the last time I saw a pharmacist in a white coat, however it's all about building the character, it easily distinguishes him as the pharmacist.

However so far very good and I can't believe it has been 7 years since the previous series.

All this talk of white coats has impelled me to point out that it’s an RS4, sorry but I just couldn’t let it go!

I’ve also got to say that the acting is first rate, Sarah Lancaster has come a long way from Corrie, she’s brilliant.

Yes, the acting is brilliant, even down to the minor characters and much of that is down to the script which is excellent, some of the family banter appears almost to be as libbed and the interview scenes come across as very authentic.
