He's probably just a sucker for them.

There is a Japanese thing about octopus sex (ie tentacle / woman action). Some famous art/drawings has it. I think it even has a name (although I’ve forgotten it). You get references to it in manga/anime (probably more than references in Hentai manga). Not sure why there is such a fascination with cephalopods.
Eating squids and octopus is a delicacy in Korea & Japan. It's the way it was filmed that makes it disturbing, how the tentacles wriggles around the mouth. IIRC from the director's commentary the lead actor is a Buddhist (dominant religion in S.Korea is Christianity). I don't think the scene is there to strictly to shock audiences rather showing the protagonist's primordial instincts for revenge perhaps in Western idioms literally wants to extract his pound of flesh.

Going further OT out of curiosity I did venture into sex shops when I was backpacking in Japan to check out the local scene - just browsing, honestly! Quite an eye opener, they have a thing for rope tying and of course horror manga/anime can involve demons raping humans with proboscises. Octopuses and so forth join the dots somewhere.

We watched Yesterday on Netflix last night.

A struggling musician wakes up after an accident and discovers he is the only person on earth who has heard of The Beatles and their music.

An enjoyable 2 hrs of TV.

The song arangements were far better than The Beatles ever managed. It turns out some of their songs weren't too bad, but The Beatles just murdered them all first time around.

The Karate Kid (2010)

Really enjoyed this and better than I expected it to be. Surprisingly there were moments had me shedding a few tears. Jayden Smith is revelation, his comic moments are so much like his father in Fresh Prince.

8 flying kicks out of 10.

Yesterday was a great concept ruined by turning it into a daft rom-com.

As for arrangements, George Martin seemed to get by...

I suspect I found it here ages ago (have a list of “to watch”!)…..
….but “I Care A Lot” was an entertaining dark comedic thriller….a decent 7.3 vials out of 10 injections
Peter Dinklage is a good actor!

Started watching Once upon a time in Hollywood and got to the bit where Damien Lewis was at a party talking about who married who etc and gave up. Very dull.

Does it get better?

Started watching Lochdown after and found that boring too.

Maybe it's me!!
