Watched it in the cinema. Was awful. At some points couldn’t work out what was being said but then in the action scenes it was so loud my daughter was having to block her ears.

Storyline was utter nonsense and we found it hard to emphathise with or be interested in any of the characters.

Sounds like Interstellar lessons weren’t learned regarding the sound.

We gave up when we realised there was still an hour and four minutes to go.

I’m happy to accept I’m not the sharpest tool in the shed, but having no idea what’s going on in a film doesn’t improve the experience .

Ive watched several YouTube explanation videos, and there still doesn’t seem to be anyone who knows who they were fighting at the end.

Clever concept though.

Excellent. thumbup

Watched The Matrix again the other day.... loved it when it first can out but now, a few set pieces aside, it was a very solid 'meh'. To be fair the sound mix seemed appalling dialogue waaaaay too quiet/muffled splodey stuff waay too loud (by comparison)

Most of the Christopher Nolan films I've seen have had horrible sound, especially in the cinema....I think it's his style, but to me it's just amateurish.
I have no interest in watching Tenet, it just looks to me like he's finally disappeared up his own arse

Blood Red Sky on Netflix, Vampire horror/plane hostage thing AKA 'Blade on a plane' Some dodgy dubbing (wish I'd watched the subtitled version) but not a bad film TBH

I've not watched Tenet yet, but I have loved his other films especially Interstellar.

So I don't really get the "finally" bit. But each to their own.

Because Old is out now and I believe there is some sort of tie-in, I just watched Lady In The Water which was... weird. It has to be THE single most contrived story I think I've ever experienced, to the point where I think it was either genius or utter ste.

I'm leaning towards utter ste.

I think his earlier work - Memento and the Dark Knight trilogy (particularly The Dark Knight) are very good but I thought Inception was unnecessarily convoluted. It put me off trying Interstellar. We probably wouldn’t have gone to see Tenet but here in NZ even though the cinemas have been mostly open there haven’t been many films released. Tenet being one of the exceptions. I think with Tenet he was so focused on the technical aspects of the film that he forgot it needs a decent plot and characters that you can care about.

I’m a big fan of Nolan. From Memento, through the Batman Triolgy to Interstellar. With interstellar being his crowning glory for me. But then again, I also do have an interest in physics/cosmology/space, so it was right up my alley.

Dunkirk and Inception are two of his weakest movies for me. I’ve no desire to revisit them, whereas I’ve watched the Batman trilogy more than once, and Intestellar at least half a dozen times.

Then we come to Tenet. A prime example of a film maker in full ‘self indulgence’ mode. The bloke is clearly interested in physics and how we perceive reality. But how he got the studio to sign off on this script is beyond me. Clearly his back catalogue helped. It’s one of the worst movies I’ve seen in a long time. Utterly self indulgent. When an artist starts to forget his audience, it’s time to have a serious rethink.

Me too. I genuinely believe Interstellar to be the 2001 of my generation. And I'm not even joking.

It's a very pretty film but damn it's so full of plot holes and 'realllly?' moments.

Some dude rocks up and suddenly he's the only one that can fly a rocket and do the mission?

He hasn't seen his daughter and she's spent years of her life waiting for him and then he just says hi and bye in 5 mins?

A wormhole back to some bookshelves. Hmm.

Dawn of the Dead (2004), love this reinterpretation of the George Romero classic.

I’m a big fan of Zack Snyder (Army of the dead aside). I loved 300, Watchmen, his version of Superman, Justice League and I even think Sucker punch is underrated. And Dawn of the Dead is where it all started.

A solid 7/10

I love the original Dawn of the Dead so was not keen on a remake, but it is a great movie, for me by some margin his strongest work. The main issue I have with most stuff since is the lack of tight editing, Army of the Dead is a great example, it's an hour too long!

Well I am a Christopher Nolan fan, but I do change the sound according to the scene, and can do so as I am watching from home. I don't think they would be great to watch at the cinema for this reason.

Trouble for me with all zombie movies is that none of them can hold a candle to Shaun of the Dead.

Started watching Once upon a time in Hollywood and got to the bit where Damien Lewis was at a party talking about who married who etc and gave up. Very dull.

Does it get better?

Started watching Lochdown after and found that boring too.

Maybe it's me!!
