As I posted earlier, all my knowledge has come from a recent discovery of Forged in Fire on the History channel, which has prompted me to learn some knife making in the new year.
Love the charcoal forges, and was amazed to hear they get hotter than gas ones!

Others are pretty superb - hacking the st out of a block of ice is impressive.

I think we need a fly on the wall documentary on the Night King and the whitewallkers. What have they been doing, what's their story. So they just stand doing nothing like some horses in a field. What are their daily activities etc.
LIke, what are his views on Wexit, and the new Trump Triarchy in Volantis.TheGuru said:

GoT as a history document set in the far future could work, but it would need to be one off spin off.Babylon 5 was very good at doing alternate-format episodes. There are a few I particularly remember. One was a day in the life of the maintenance crew, all the main cast in the background as archetypical shop floor guys Bo & Mack went about their jobs. Another was in the form of propaganda news report produced by the dictatorial EarthGov. One of the final episodes was set far in the future with academics looking back at B5 as history or mythology. Stargate did an off-format episode in the style of CSI, which I liked better than CSI.

I dislike gimmick eps, but thinking about it, Stargate did a few which I enjoyed, sure they did a first person one as well as a mockumentary one as well as the above.Babylon 5 was very good at doing alternate-format episodes. Holy crap, I hadn't watched any of Preston's Youtube videos until now.
"Meanwhile Dany is sad. We know this because of all the acting Emilia Clarke does"
He's been funny all season with his reviews. "Meanwhile Dany is sad. We know this because of all the acting Emilia Clarke does"
While I find them incredibly funny and on point, it makes me a lot more critical about other episodes, which I'm not sure I like (ignorance is bliss remember).
That said, most of his digs and running jokes are just too on point not to find funny. Sandra and the Wolverine.

He's the most insightful youtuber I've found on the series, most of the rest are the same old twaddle. While I find them incredibly funny and on point, it makes me a lot more critical about other episodes, which I'm not sure I like (ignorance is bliss remember).

He came to the books because of th show, like a lot of people, and then reread them to see what Martin was doing. He doesn't actually judge the show on the books but on it's own logic and framework. His scathing (and very funny) bites are because the show has started to ignore bits of what has gone on previously.
I love the Sandra gag (from a mispronunciation by Lyanna in S6) and the twenty goodmen gag, and I agree with the Wolverine tag, they clearly don't know what to do with Arya so she's a different person depending on the plot. One can tell who they've got notes for from GRR and who they haven't.

Apart from Preston, I sometimes watch Redteamreview, he's a more normal reviewer.

Agreed. Really funny, usually has some genuinely good insights in the 2nd part of the review and isn't too geeky. I really can't be bothered with people who spend twice as long reviewing and over-analysing an episode as the length of the episode in the first place. It's not that serious a show, there are continuity errors and logic fails and other issues, just enjoy it. It isn't real life.
