Radio 2 appears to be going from bad to worse. I drove home from Nottingham Saturday afternoon, at around 4ish,and had the radio on as my satnav runs through it. I don't know who the female presenter was (sounded like an Ulster accent) but she was utterly dire , the introduction of Jodie Kidd (cringe) was utterly embarrassing . As soon as I got off the A52 and thus knew my way, off went the radio, its just as well, as my brain was slowly frying . Utterly appalling , I need to find a worthwhile station thats easy on the ear , because most of R2. insults my brain.

Angela Scanlon, ironically she has neither a voice nor face for radio.....

Great news if she's doing it, it'll move her away from Sat aft when I listen. I wonder who will take her slot there? Putting Lisa Tarbrush in place would be great and then filling her slot with someone else would suit me.

Does she still do that 'kiss-a-gram' thing over the radio? Last time I listened, someone sent a request in for their 16 yr old son, and it literally sounded like she was performing prolonged fellatio live on air, creepiest thing I ever heard. Me too. Ball still tries to promote her matey, ladette image (which has always been cringeworthy). She’ll be as bad as Evans in the morning.---

I wont be returning to R2 then, Zoe Ball is insufferable, vapid, banal and does that horrible fake secretive whispering thing like Dermot O’Leary.
Terry Wogan was a one off but surely there is someone with a little bit of intelligence to be found, an excitable forty year old teenager is not what R2 listeners need is it?

It is strange when routine changes but sadly this is all down to pay of talent. The MPs all voted on this and forced it through total transparency - people warned of poaching and it’s happened so far to two of the top talent.
If you don’t like the output due to this change shout loudly and demand we pay a bit more tv licence fee that can fund it otherwise the #me2 etc is now really starting to bear its teeth.
