I thought it was utter rubbish. Wringing the dregs from a very tired format.

I think that’s sort of the point. People still fell for it and exposed their truly awful natures despite the fact that he’s well known. Not many people came out of that film looking like decent humans.

Capernaum

Would be easy to ignore this - Lebanese film, subtitled...

It's in that list of 1000 films to watch before you die and rightly so. Hugely absorbing.

12 year old lad sues his parents for being born but the story is what led him to that.

Well worth a watch.

I hadn't seen much SBC stuff beforehand so it wasn't a tired format to me.

I liked it and have seen most of his stuff already, as mentioned above the fact people still fall for it is partly what's so funny, that rally he went to and sang that song getting everyone to join in laugh

Haven’t seen it yet, but he’s one of the lead actors in the Netflix film Trial of the Chicago 7 which looks good.

Let me rephrase that he is actor I will not watch whatever film he is in. The guy is a prick.

I'm on series three now and it doesn't let up.

A brutal time and place to have lived.

Tom Stade , stand up comedian.
Not heard of him before but really enjoyed it.
It was also free, although I'd have happily paid for it as he's pretty funny.

Parasite - South Korean film, gets 8.6/10 on IMDB and deservedly so - wanted to watch this for ages, and finally got around to it tonight - brilliant film. Very well written and a few real surprises - Without giving away too much, a poor family manage to scam a very rich family into letting them work for them, after which things take an unexpected turn. Can’t say much more than that without giving too much away, but had me hooked - recommended.

i got half way and gave up, i guess it gets going after that, as it was pretty tedious.

He may or may not be a prick, but he talks a lot of sense: https://www.thepoke.co.uk/2020/10/27/sacha-baron-c...

Yes, it all escalates rather quickly. Watched this last night and also found it very enjoyable - a real tension-builder.

I had to push myself to keep watching. A very overrated movie IMO.

He is also the lead in the Netflix mini series ‘The Spy’ which I thought was very good.

The Gate

Amazon Prime have a lot of horror, ahem, classics from my childhood which I'm gradually working through. Special shout out for this one, bit of a cult following now, it's great fun and wastes no time getting going (it's less than 90 minutes).

Looks fantastic too, I can only assume Amazon have the remastered version as it never looked this good on VHS!
