I watched 2 episodes of the 3rd series and couldnt take it any more. The crying, the hugs, and the piss poor acting of Michael character. Dont even start me on the Dr / Scientist kissing crap.. This chapter doesnt fit into the Star Trek offerings.

I know its a tv programme but it makes me fking mad !

You are not alone.
I watch the latest episodes believing that they can't get any worse, and each time they prove me wrong, so I watch something more intellectually challenging instead, something like SpongeBob or Futurama.

Exactly the same totally given up on it not even worth watching in the background. They have completely destroyed star trek with this crap.

I remember the fans being disappointed with Enterprise back in the day. Looking back it feels like a masterpiece compared with this absolute travesty.

Enterprise just got better and better. S1 wasn't particularly strong, no. I was a fan but seasons 3 and 4 had some of the best ST from any series.

What’s is irritating is that, yes interesting things have happened but you need to let the weepy woke stuff slide by to make it bearable.

I watched episode 8, "All in", and it wasn't too bad. Believing that the series may have improved I started watching episode 9, "Rubicon".
I was wrong, and it's back to overly politically correct garbage.
But Picard is back in a few days. Just hoping they haven't f**ked that up as well.

yeah, good luck with that frown I'll agree that Picard wasn't as in your face wokey as STD (a more adult audience for it?) but there is an air of fanfic about it. That said I'll still watch

Yeah, utterly ridiculous. Time is of the essence! So...let's all sort out our feelings again, even though...y'know, this is really urgent...

It's like Doctor Who with the Daleks...When in doubt wheel the Borg out for another airing and tweak them just a little bit.

Well this has been the worst season so far frown

I hate to echo everyone else, but yes the discussion about how everyone feels about events every 5 minutes was just boring. I think the main problem is the characters don't feel like real people (they feel like caricatures) and Burnham is written as if she is the messiah.

I quite enjoyed the plot, but it was spread out over too many episodes. I thought the last two episodes were decent sci-fi and I was quite moved by the scene in the alien environment near the end.

I'm sure the reveal of the United Earth President was intended to be a grand cameo but it pretty much meant nothing to me...

This fiasco will probably mean there will be no season 5.
To quote one of the kinder reviews.
"This is not Star Trek, this is Grey's Anatomy in space."
