I was surprised he took something so custom on that has such expensive parts. His usual M.O is to give the car away in a raffle, rather than try to sell it with it's chequered past, this RR seems to be at a price point above doing that?
Considering that he got over £600k for the M5 when he raffled it, I am sure he will do ok with the Rolls Royce if he does raffle it.LARK F1 GTR said:

Also. Financing a car to take apart is a bad idea, don’t do that.
That was the winning bid. I bet there was vat and buyers premium on top of that? Also. Financing a car to take apart is a bad idea, don’t do that.

Strictly speaking, he didn't get anything because the competition was run by a company with which he isn't connected
Of course he got something for it. His connection to them is that his partner runs the raffle company. He didn't just give his car away to another random company for nothing for them to make all the money from.Timbo_S2 said:

How do you know he got over £600k?
I'm gonna guess at number of tickets sold x price per ticket...I remember they sold an awful number of tickets; can't recall how much per entry.

I wonder how the funding goes to and fro between the businesses - I imagine there may be a fair amount of complexity which is fine whilst all parties are supporting each other however if he splits from his girlfriend, I wouldn't like to try to sort out the financial settlement between them.Doofus said:

Considering the registered office address for High Speed Competitions is Mat's unit, not hard to see the connection plus his partner H.L Smith is a director for both HSC and Mat Armstrong LTD.WPA said:

How does Rashford have a crash if that magnitude and not be in a load of trouble with the police?
I don't know exactly what happened in the crash but one assumes there was no intoxication/obvious speeding/serious injuries, therefore the Police have nothing to get involved in.It goes to insurance and is dealt with.
Do you expect the Police to get forensics out to investigate a minor-injury crash on a 40 mph road?

I have to admit this was one of my favorite Mat videos yet. The sheer scale, size and scope of the cars he goes after just seems to keep climbing.
He joked recently about a number plate that he was keeping for a Koenigsegg one day... For once I think something like that (Or other Hyper car) could really happen.
I really felt the pain of the car not starting as well.
Finally.. Mansory parts can get in the bin.. multiple thousands of pounds for tiny bits of carbon badging / parts.. ludicrous and tasteless.

I would imagine that MUFC (and all other premier league club) have 'fixers' that help players resolve problems like this, in the world of multi millionnaire footballers
Oh absolutely.Going back to the vid - I'm glad to see MA openly remarking about the parts costs being "disgusting" - but if Mansory can extract that sort of cash from their clientele then fair play.
I can see why he's doing it monetarily, but if it were a keeper I'd be buying an older Wraith and transferring all the nice bits over to that rather than vice versa.
