Cutting the power laps.... Christ.
They've been doing that for a couple of years.

Anyway, here it is: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-nLB6xKPLAc
Frankly that's a bit rubbish if that's the best they can do. Utterly garbage camera angles, there are youtubers who could do better. Stig was clearly on it but the power lap needs at minimum some footage from trackside, not an angled cockpit coverage of Stig sawing away at the wheel from a badly angled perspective that you can't even see where you're going. You're the wking BBC FFS!

Frankly glad they've put that it online and not ruined the rest of it.

Rest of show all comments are positive. Harris, good man, grown into the job, thought I'd hate the other two for ever. Was wrong.

That was pretty extraordinary telly - proper funny and that bungee jump was absolute madness!

Plus - no stupid special guest interview!

Mega - top Sunday night telly.
Yep, me and the OH had to rewind the golf bit as we were laughing so hard we couldn’t here the dialogue.

Top stuff

Piss funny. Think they’ve found their stride now.

Flintoff is a madman for doing that.

Going to be tough to beat that episode. Genuinely impressive act by Flintoff.

I feel like I've fallen into an alternative universe.

Great TV.

The Metro dam bungee jump was an impressive bit of engineering and bravery.
I'm not sure if you noticed, but the narrow wide at the top of the dam actually looked to be preventing the full width deployment of the cranes legs! I bet the turning moment calcs were interesting........

( i suspect the metro had it's engine & trans removed, but it still must have been 900kg or so)

I was wondering how they'd balanced the weight. When I saw previews I thought they'd have built some sort of rig attached to the dam itself. Surprised that it appeared to be just the crane on its own. Must have had some hefty counter weights on it!

Good one tonight. I think these three have settled into it now. Yesterday I caught up on most of the last series, and the special. They had been on my recorder since it was on, and I wasn't in that much of a rush to watch them after the Escort/Mini/Porsche episode. With a few exceptions I thought it was all pretty good. Tonight's was their best so far though. Flintoff doing the barmy stuff should be interesting for any more stuff they think up hehe .
