Amazon Prime Video, what gems have you found? (NO SPOILERS)
Discussion
Thanks to the tip-off on "Barn Find Hunter" on this thread, I watched the first 3 episodes last night. The drone pictures of the site in Ep3 were incredible - it went on for miles and there must have been thousands of cars there.
I'd love to see this programme developed further into a car restoration show (so long as it stayed about cars and didn't become yet another car-based "scripted reality show") as the guy clearly knows his stuff and is very knowledgable, and I'd love to see how some of the finds ended up once restored.
But, as it stands, it's a great little show. I like it.

Discovered this last weekend and watched five or six episodes - I can't decide whether I like the fact that nothing much happens and he just roots around some interesting old cars, or if I'd rather see the cars bought and restored in longer episodes.I'd love to see this programme developed further into a car restoration show (so long as it stayed about cars and didn't become yet another car-based "scripted reality show") as the guy clearly knows his stuff and is very knowledgable, and I'd love to see how some of the finds ended up once restored.

Who's it sponsored by again?

Hardcore Henry: stupidly ridiculous OTT action movie. Like watching a play through of a parkour/SF/horror FPS!
Watched this last week, surprisingly entertaining. Any fans of the Taken films? Looks like they have created a series.

Can't say the same for Black Sails which was a bit corny and Hollywood.
Never seen such lovely pearly whites on a pirate before!
I quite like Black sails, but I have mentioned before, there is way too much talking and not enough action. These are meant to be pirates, most could not even pronounce the ships they served on, so it is quite astonishing that the scriptwriters furnish them all with a vocabulary that would make a university professor blush!Never seen such lovely pearly whites on a pirate before!
Also, being a researcher and designer of period vessels, to put it into a P/H analogy, the ships would be like having a 2016 AM in a 1960 James Bond film, but also fitted with leaf-spring suspension from a century prior - they are made up from a hotchpotch of periods from 16th to 19th Century!
Having said that, I usually keep such things to myself, as I hate anoraks, and as I said, I still enjoy it, despite the prolonged boring bits.

One of the (many) things that was wrong with the remake of 'The Magnificent Seven'.In contrast the production values of Taboo are absolutely spot on imho.

Will have been mentioned but worth it again to late comers to the thread - Man in the high castle. Simply one of the best ever tv based dramas and certainly now looking forwad to the BBC similar version of SS London (or whatever it is called)
SS-GB - it starts on Feb 19th apparently. I'm hoping it's as good as the book.cranford10 said:
