The Telegraph, which has the line "... if The Sun is to be believed"
And if there is one thing we have seen over the past few months, is that the Sun is on some kind of vendetta against Top Gear and has written dozens of speculative pieces about how the whole show is falling apart. The other papers seem to then just lap it up
To be fair "the sun" probably does decide what the public want these days! And if there is one thing we have seen over the past few months, is that the Sun is on some kind of vendetta against Top Gear and has written dozens of speculative pieces about how the whole show is falling apart. Overall thought it was a good episode, the Jag piece especially was good - ignoring the obvious scripting of the F-Type arriving in the nick of time, that Norman is a legend.
I liked the Dawn piece too before Evans turned it into another opinion poll, MLB's laid back style works quite well I think.
SIARXC I skipped although I did hear Paul Hollywood has a DBS and some racing license? Pretty cool.
Not Harris's best piece I must admit, the 'fun-o-meter' thing felt a little forced, but still, rather him have a segment than nothing at all.
Overall, not bad.
I saw Hollywood on the M4 a few months back in his DBS, number plate is Bread/Baked/Dough or something.I liked the Dawn piece too before Evans turned it into another opinion poll, MLB's laid back style works quite well I think.

Last night's was pretty dire again.
What's the betting either of the SIARPCs turn up in presenting roles in the future? Careful what you wish for people, Hollywood is possibly more annoying than Evans.
Some poor junior-booker on the show was probably just told to get a "Big Hollywood" person. Ooops. What's the betting either of the SIARPCs turn up in presenting roles in the future? Careful what you wish for people, Hollywood is possibly more annoying than Evans.
My mistake. I earlier posted that Jennifer Saunders has owned Bristols. I checked and she hasn't, but she does like them.
This is an old appearance by her on SIARPC with Clarkson. It truly does show up Evans's new format and interviewing ability as the utter st that it is.

Well, it was even quicker with generous application of my x30 button than last week's. May not bother to record it again.
It's getting like the 100th episode of "House" where you can dip in at any minute of the hour long show and be confident in advance of exactly what will be happening,

- 7 min's - smoking tyres
- 20 min's - Stig on circuit
- 25 min's - same old stars on the same old sofa, then driving round the same old circuit
- 40 min's - familiar wise-cracks as times are stuck on board
- 50 min's - expensive car somewhere on the continent
- 55 min's - lots of shouting
Viewing figure are up this week

Will be interesting to see what the worldwide figures are.

Another thing I've noticed is Evans is never counter-steering on the onboard shots, despite how it cuts in from the external ones. I suspect he's a bit ham-fisted behind the wheel somebody else does that stuff.
I thought it was just me that had noticed that!Ozzie Osmond said:

dead as a can of tuna without the taste.
Seriously, could they have found a worse pairing?
Not keen on Monkey but the M2 bit was slightly interesting. The roller item was poor.
But in the studio !, and who though introducing Eddie Jordan would liven things up.
Come one BBC, let the boys back to play

I enjoyed most of last night's episode. I'd say as much of it as the 'old' TG, which always had a stupid or boring bit in every episode too.
The cars were varied - nice to see a classic on there. Clarkson hated anything that wasn't new so they rarely got a look-in.
Filming is good. Scenery was nice. The challenge had historical interest. Rally cross bit wasn't good but is no worse than the old SIARPC
Lighten up folks
