More filling than something with a lot of filling.

Lights, camera, erm.. just rehash last weeks plot lines?

Wasn't expecting that. I thought Mark was going to attack his sons killer.

I can't remember the details of the first season but is Joe Miller taking the blame for his son or did he really do it?

Um, Broadchurch usually just doesn't work for me but that ending was pretty damn powerful. Troubling.

Joe Miller did kill Dan but it's all a bit vague as to actually happened as far as I can remember. The second series was all about him getting away with it due to technicalities and bitter solicitors.

It's best to watch Broadchurch as a character study rather than a whodunnit because there are just too many red herrings.

I'm really enjoying it.

Series three is miles ahead of series 2.

Didn't Danny get cuddled to death effectively.

Danny threatened to make their weird relationship (Joe was in love with him?) public and Joe "accidentally" suffocated him.

I found that ending last night very sad and troubling - to ring your daughter like that to effectively say goodbye.

That's true. I've caught plenty of mackerel and the odd sea bass off that beach, but never seen so many herring in one place in such a short time....

Sad ending, did he do anything to Joe?

I thought once he realised he was too late to act or change anything he would be satisfied...

Or, realised that he would be forever tormented by memories and loss. In his (possibly) depressed state, he just wants to end the torment. Very powerful scene, and a reminder that Broadchurch is more than a whodunnit; it's really about the secrets and lies in a small town.

^^^ point well made, when some critics slate it from the whodunnits perspective - and why it's liked in this household!
