WTF is this thing they've got with honeycomb? We had someone use it yesterday and it never worked.

Thinking the same thing, never seen it used before and all of a sudden every halfwit has it. Seems to be the replacement for foragement

Someone must be using it somewhere and dragging these along for the ride I've never seen it with savoury dishes until this series. With fish? That's not going to be good.

The Thursday showdown is probably the highlight of the series imo.
The reincarnation of Marcus as a nice guy continues - surely a deliberate ploy by the Beeb?

I liked it when Marcus asked the bloke who had done honeycomb with fish what he would say if he was served fish with a dessert. He stood there looking confused!

Every year someone does something weird with fish. Didn't someone do some sort of cheese/fruit sauce fish thing last year and get absolutely slated?

I reckon hes been slipping slightly in the last few shows, you can see it simmering underneath(no pun intended).

so far the professionals have taught me that honeycomb doesn't go with duck, pork or fish. But what about chicken? beef?? maybe we'll have to wait until next week to find out

I liked his ice-cream bh-slap in Monica's test biggrin (to the guy who failed miserably in both. Can't remember his name)

Had to feel him mind you, once he revealed he was in charge of pub grub, I winced.

I also like the nice Marcus but I don't feel he has been slipping out of character just exasperated at honeycomb in main courses 3 times they needed ripping.

Blimey! Didn't expect Liam to get knocked out, thought his past performance would have carried him through.

In last nights episode when Greg said he liked the lamb and honeycomb dish Marcus made a face like he was going to kill him right there

The standard of the chefs this year is fking rubbish. That ginger bloke with the manky ear and the tattoos, honeycomb with lamb? What is this st? The look of disgust on Marcus' face when Greg said he liked it did make me laugh hehe

Muppet: "Honey and Lamb is a popular combination"

Greg, Marcus and Monica: "Is it?"

Muppet: "Yes, definitely, I've tried it and it works"

Greg, Marcus and Monica: "Righto"

Muppet (thinking to himself): "Honey.. lamb... honey... lamb... honey... ham.....HAM!!... st!"

I much preferred it with Michel Roux Jr.
