I am afraid Claudia is getting on my nerves with the need to screech out any song being used the following week plus her incessant "Thank you much" every 2 minutes.

It's not just Claudia though. These days the constant shouting from Motsi and yelling bv Dame Shirley; the screaming for the Ts & Cs and again to say the vote is open, it get's very wearing.

i'm feeling the whole format needs a revamp... as i said before, i've only really thought it got going this blackpool week - decent dances and decent music, everything up to now has just missed a beat..... claudia and anton are getting long in the tooth already after being a bit of fresh air......, and even the quirky "new" things are so tired and old, the whole post-dance chat with the couple surprise question leads to funny answer routine.....
"so tell me what the neighbours do when you come home ..."
totally a setup question
AHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAAAAAAAAA oh thats so funny..................

and telling us what they are doing next week spoils it for me, let us find out please.

Have one week where the contestants are given the same amount of time to practice a dance that the professionals get for thier routines then watch the mayhem commence

Agreed! Everyone seems to be at volume 11 in every show. The "live" audience seem to be able to generate a spectacular amount of screaming and shouting throughout the show. I guess they must all go home with sore throats after the event

It's not really the audience, it's the pros and celebs stood with Claudia - far too much shrieking like banshees when the scores are read out and after the post dance interviews. FFS shut up and stop behaving like five year olds just given the keys to the sweet shop. Like someone said, it's now become a 'thing' with the Ts&Cs read out, to Claudia bellowing out next week's songs, to everyone screaming and shouting over ever comment. I get you're all quite excited, but lets try and be a little bit adult, eh?

If they started taking it seriously then people might mistake it for a dance competition.

The 'live' audience screaming is, of course, over dubbed. If you look at people when they supposedly whooping and screaming they will be sitting down, showing their appreciation with polite applause. hehe

Yes, they used that dub during Covid when there was no audience smile

Angela to leave tomorrow, she was great last week but back to average again this week. Nigel wasn't great either.

Last four will be Bobby, Annabel, Ellie and Layton. I'd like Ellie to win I think, she's great to watch as she just dances very easily and naturally, no show-boating, no counting or odd pauses etc.

I'll be sad to see any of them go. Even Layton has grown on me.

Yes, I’ll be sad to see any of them go. To my untrained eye there wasn’t a weak dance amongst them, but if you were holding a gun to my head and told me I had to use my three votes I’d vote for:-
Annabel - isn’t she just lovely, and when you and her were 16 exactly the girl next door you always wished lived next door? Plus she seems to be getting better week on week.
Layton - I think he’s getting a raw deal, for one for being a ringer (it’s not his fault he’s that good nor his fault he was asked to be on the show), and for another for being quite so flamboyant. Personally I think he’s a breath of fresh air.
Ellie - my favourite to win. Not your preferred magazine model shape, but a pocket rocket nonetheless and a real star out of the blue. Everything Strictly’s all about really, and one of the reasons we’re all glued to the telly each week.

Or that could be a load of tosh. I said before the show that I thought it’d be Nigel and Annabel in the dance-off - I think I’m 50% right on that one.

.
The inclusion of Leyton has achieved exactly what the program makers had hoped for .
The program has been in the entertainment news every week as well as every week here , job done ! . As far as I am concerned the program makers have done themselves no favours , and unless they honour the original concept, the show will fall out of favour with the public

It's been one of the weakest seasons so far. Witness the fact that there were no comments on this thread during the show last night and only three afterwards.

I must admit I'm really enjoying this season. I like all the dancers. And I thought the overall design of last night was lovely - Motsi in particular looked amazing.

I notice last night's show was only an hour in length. That must be one of the shortest ever.

I wondered about that. Aren't they usually doing 2 dances by this stage? Must admit the quality always declined when they had to learn 2.

I gave up watching but happened to catch last night & thought the dancing was dire compared to previous years, apart from the professional ringer. No fluidity, far too much walking from section to the next & the Tango was shockingly bad.

I really think it's done. It's only purpose now is to provide temporary shagging partners for the pros, but then that has always been the case.
