That was the same model/year of Dodge Dart as Aaron built up in Gas Monkey Garage with a 700bhp Hellcat motor in it

I'm going against the grain here. Its all so manufactered now, fake. The cars were doctored to fall apart. Put the biggest in the smallest vehicle, smallest in the biggest and then spend 1/2 of the "show" driving up a hill. I dont gettit.

Zero interaction with the studio audience, they might just as well not be there. That apart, it was enjoyable but the 'buy a car and see how high it'll drive' is becoming a bit samey; one South American canyon road or mountain peak is much like any other. Applauding yourself is never good though. I give it 6.5/10.

I thought that was average.

Handy that Paddy did a warm-up run where the axle fell off, rather than it happening to him against Chris.

Chris's Porsche piece was brilliant but that road trip was poor

It’s moving to BBC1, so clearly something is going right.

Great TV. I do feel a bit sorry for the audience though as nothing seems to happen at the studio anymore.
From reading other things on here, I think the audience are in place for studio segments that appear across more than one episode, so while they didn't have much to watch in last night's episode, they'll have seen other stuff.

Another good episode.... its light entertainment with some cars thrown in for good measure.

I'd say it's the best since about 2 series before CHM left.

A good episode, but not a great episode IMHO.

I quite like them switching the format around to sometimes show the SITRPC or the Stig lap, or sometimes neither, and I really like this presenter line up, although I did think the South American road trip was a little lacking on content.

It's starting to look like FF is the go-to presenter for brainless challenges (in a positive way - the guy seems to have no fear witness some of his TG and League of Their Own stuntary). Does come across as a very likable bloke though.

First electric car that doesn't leave me overcome with indifference.
But it makes no, zero, fking noise. Where's the sensory enjoyment in that?
I disagree with you on Yank motors but am 100% with you on the spin-cycle cars frown

Probably a very sensory experience, just not aurally.

Surprised to see people moan about the noise the Taycan makes. It's called progress... Or, in a less wky sounding way, it sounds pretty fking cool to me - almost like a spaceship or hoverboard noise from Back to the Future!

IIRC the new electric Harley had a lot of effort to engineer a sound which 'Harley owners' would appreciate. Now, obviously that's stretching it, but it can't be that hard to alter a switching frequency to produce something to listen to?

It did sound a lot like the car from Back to the Future. I CGAF about Porsches really, they're absolutely fine but I never take any extra notice when I see one (usually being driven erratically around the West End) but that did look tangibly fast, especially off the line.

I honestly thought that the Taycan would have fake engine sounds played through the stereo speakers, like most BMWs seem to do these days.
