Absolutely. Brilliant stuff. hehe

Indeed Google Harry S Plinkett for reviews of all the films plus if you dig about there are episode 1 dvd commentaries too. Absolutely spot on and very funny.

As I recall Darth was his name, and when that scene was filmed, Darth had actually killed Luke's dad and was not his father, in the original story, but it morphed as things do over the years before TESB.
Sith is never mentioned in the old films, though it might have been used on merchandise. Vader was simply a Jedi in the Dark Side....mumble mumble...
Sith were in the Extended Universe way before Episode 1 though

In fact I think your wrong, I think the Sith were always the flip side to the Jedi.

A quick google shows Vader as a 7 foot tall Sith Lord in the Episode 4 Script.

The EU books started with the Marvel comics roughly. I used to collect them, they were pretty decent, still recall some of the stories. But if it's not in the film it's not 'canon' or 'real'. As I stated, Sith is not in the films, though I think a placemat I had at the time (now sadly lost) described Vader as a Lord of the Sith. What Sith actually was was vague. It was an excellent placemat! I was a member of the Star Wars fanclub, used to get so much cool stuff in the post way back then. Lucas changed his mind on the story many times, we're lucky people like Kurtz were around at the time.

Was there any mention of midichlorians in AotC or RotS? I don't remember any. It felt as if even Lucas had realised it was an utterly stupid idea, in some ways worse even than Jar-Jar Binks.

Yep have to agree, bad though Jar Jar was, some of the actual ways the background story was filled out in the prequels was a lot worse and midichlorians has to be right up there with the worst of Lucas's brain farts. Seriously let's take something like the Force which has been very well established as this mystical, wonderful and rare power which really didn't need to be "explained" and turn it into something akin to the AIDS virus, way to f*ck up the magic George!

Has no one mentioned the virgin birth yet? Ok fatherless.

And if his mother was a slave, who was she a slave to, she seemed to be living in her own house and doing motherly things all the time.
