Very sad news - glad he got to see Parker have some success and see the fruits of his inspiration. RIP.

That's sad news indeed, but what a wonderful gent he was.
I always thought it was great how close him and Parker were.

They had a 'story so far' episode a couple of nights ago.

Watching the trailer, heavy on Parker missing John (understandably) - but also looks like Parker has bought a new custom washplant, called Sluice-ifer!

It looks fecking massive in the drone shot...

One of my favourite shows on tv...and it looks like another epic fk up by Todd. Honestly what goes through his head?!

Bigger fk up hinted at in the spoiler at the end... wink

Parker's washplant looked pretty good, but the water seemed very fast over the sluice boxes?

Meanwhile, Todd has gone the exact opposite with a monster of a bit of kit to run, huge crew and equipment all chasing big nuggets that may not be there...

Tony is a legend, Monica may well be on the way!

What ever happened to Parker buying his own claim? He seemed to be on about that for quite a while but that then seemed to fall by the wayside.

Yey - they're back. Thoroughly enjoyed last nights episode. Do the Hoffmans just go bungling from one disaster to another to make the show more entertaining or are they really gamblers? You just know when Todd starts talking whats going to come out of his mouth.

We've left a perfectly good claim with gold rich ground to take a punt on a brand new mine with equipment we've never seen before on the top of a frickin clay mountain and we're going for the most gold ever. Dad can you say a prayer, we're gonna need it.....

Enjoyed that, Todd just seems a total disaster, tony taking a huge gamble buying another dredge that has to be moved 150miles, although the current one is now making a mint. And it looks like Parker might of had a trick up his sleeve mining elsewhere with less royalties?.

For all that they bother him at the drop of a hat I'm not sure that God really likes the Hoffmans.

It's easier to take a gamble when Discovery is footing most of the bill i suppose.

Still my favourite show to watch regardess, i'm looking forward to the rest of the season.
