Honest appraisal will be required afterwards
Hoping they've realised the mistakes and sorted it. But if it's more of Episode 2 army ste or that god awful buggy 2 parter. They will be in serious trouble long term.
Absolutely, on both accounts! However I reckon there will be some non-disclosure forms for us upon entering the tent ... Hoping they've realised the mistakes and sorted it. But if it's more of Episode 2 army ste or that god awful buggy 2 parter. They will be in serious trouble long term.
If there was some nondisclosure nonsense. Thoughts generally?
Half a Romeo will probably not make the series. It's just a funny skit to announce they listened to the criticism of the first series.

The thing is with such contracts is that they only carry so much weight, for a certain period. Having experienced one I was advised by a solicitor that they can only carry so much authority, as they can not be allowed to stop someone earning a living in their chosen field.
I for one am glad to see it gone, it was obviously a piss take, which would be very tired if they continued it in to S2.
Same with the American. Do they really still need timed laps to compete, think of something different.
Mind, at least these two items can be what remains on the cutting floor for ad breaks when Dave re-runs the series!

The American has been axed too according to the latest "Driver Wanted" trailer on the Grand Tour FB page.Seems they have listened and responded to feedback, looking forward to the new series now.

It was a really interesting day, especially to see how it's filmed first hand. What did I take away from it? Well, the jokes on-screen are most scripted, although some of it is indeed unscripted. However the off-camera 'banter' between the three of them was hilarious! There were several times when the audience erupted into fits of laughter. It's a shame they don't show 'outtakes' ...
The episode we are on airs around New Years. To prove all of the above, all I'll say is, the finish line was rather nice and Jeremy's car was blue! Watch out for that!

I watched the first episode again last night. Had my finger on FFWD for much of it. But that piece on the P1, LaFaerrari and 914 is as good as any bit of telly they ever made for Top Gear.
Other bits could be happily skipped over. Same as it ever was.
Funnily enough I did the same! Other bits could be happily skipped over. Same as it ever was.
Skipped the intro, the section with the audience. Watched the M2 test. Skipped the American. But as you say the Trinity was great.
I will probably rewatch the SUV test episode they did as well in due course.
Recently got a sub for Prime so decided to watch the whole series.
Jumped the shark sprang to mind, the American was terrible, much of it was horribly forced and frankly, lame. Photography was good, of course..
Thinking back, I liked the first part of the dune buggy special but the second part was terrible.
Other than that, I quite enjoyed the petrol vs electric in the last episode, however contrived it was.

You could have put that in spoiler tags! Utterly ruined it for me now. No point in watching it. Edited by Ikemi on Saturday 18th November 15:04
I went to the recording of S02E02.
It's surprising how much smaller the tent is than it seems on the telly.
There was a round of applause when they said that Brain Crash has gone.
The chap shepherding the audience said they had 4m applications for tickets.
Lots of reminders about not posting details of what you've seen on social media, but I'd argue that PH is anti-social media.
