Looking back at old interviews, there were far, far too many BBC celebrities promoting themselves or the BBC.
The two stand out awful interviews I've seen recently are Amber Heard and Will Young. Clarkson flirting is not a pretty sight.
I don't think they were too bad until the Beeb sacked Jonathon Ross. Then they needed a platform for celebs to do some promo work and Top Gear happened to have the highest audience. The two stand out awful interviews I've seen recently are Amber Heard and Will Young. Early interviews were generally more down to earth but it's been the weakest segment of the show since 2001.
It wouldn't surprise me if there was some rule in the BBC that meant they were required to have celebrities on the show. But now they're with Amazon there's no reason to keep it alive other than as someone said earlier - they have no new ideas.

They must have a different writer as all 3 trailers have been funny, something I am really not used to with GT.MartG said:

Have they been spotted filing anywhere? Any ideas on cars reviewed, challenges etc?
